Weight Loss
Is anyone else trying to trim up!!!?????????
So... is any one else trying to lose wieght? I have lost 32 pounds, I want to lose about 30 more by October. My dress is strapless as you can see on my page, and dont want flabby arms.. It is a size 16 right now, and I should be at a 12 by the wedding. I am 5 ft 9 so I am pretty tall. . It can be stressful trying to watch what you eat, excercise, plan a wedding,a nd still run your every day life! I have totally changed my eating, and I started excersing more. I want to do it for overall health, but getting engaged has helped pushed me along... Luckily for me, my fiance has joined me in this process!

I have fat arms by genes, even when I was 98 pounds (after mono and losing weight a few months earlier) I had some flab there.
I'm not neccessarily trying to lose weight, but I want to get down a bit for my health and maintain that weight. I have gained some since Christmas, but I have had a lot going on to promote to weight gain. Just stay healthy!

I agree.  I am basically just trying to pay more attention to my overall well being.  I could definitely stand to lose about 25lbs to feel better, but I wont be doing it just for the wedding day glory.  I do commend you on your current weight loss!  That's a tough thing losing weight, even with our daily stressors in life, you have been tackling it.  GOOD JOB!

on tlc there's this show called "i can make you thin" where the guy lists his main rules about eating:

1) eat when your hungry
2) eat what you want
3) stop when you're full

it seems stupidly easy but after watching the show i realized that sometimes i eat too fast and don't actually enjoy what i'm eating so my brain doesn't trigger that i'm full.  i'm not trying to lose weight but my mom is and i told her to watch the program.  it also talks about important topics like emotional eating which is never about the food or being hungry.  it sounds like you're already on your way to reaching your goal so congrats and good luck with the rest of your journey!

I'm on my way to lose 25. I got 10 out of the way pretty fast but now I'm just more aware of what I eat. I am out of the house from 7AM to 10PM most of the days. I sit on the train 45 min, then sit at work for 7 hours, then walk to school 15 min, and sit for 3 more hours in class. A schedule like that leads to a lot of snacking and not actual meals which is a formula for disaster. I'm pretty happy with my body shape (few things could be tighter, I'm working on that) I like that I have boobs and a booty. and my man sure is not complaining.

I agree with Sonya, for me its more than one day glory. I picked up some weight since I started law school and I'm on my way to getting it more stabilized.

I highly recommend weight watchers. I eat what I want but it helps me manage the calories by keeping points.

Good luck and congratulations on your already substantive loss!

I know I am also.  I have to stand in my sister's wedding in August and then mine is next June so with her's being 1st it really helped me by starting to work out everyday at the beginning of this year and now that my wedding is next year that is just extra incentive.  CONGRATS on the weight loss that you have already accomplished.  I know it's not easy and you should be proud of yourself!!!

I am currently trying to lose at least 10 lbs. I have been walking the treadmill at home & lifting weights to tone up some muscles in my arms. Hopefully it outcome will be great by the time i do my dress fittings.

I am also trying to lose weight but I seem to can not get any off. I do not snack. I dont drink soda. Since the birth of my son it has been hard and that was 2 years ago. Anyone have any ideas?

i think you should loose all the weight you can before ordering your dress; then maintain the weight until the wedding. It is VERY exspensive for the dress makers to alter the dress after its been ordered. I learned the hard way!! I orderd a size  14 in December, and i have lost 15 pounds since then. My dress has arrived and i have to pay an extra 200 DOLLARS!!! just for them to fix it!!

THe dress I ordered takes 8 months to make, so if I lost all the wieghtbefore hand, there would be no time to get my dress:=(

Congrats! I know what you mean. I have lost 77 lbs since August, I'm now down to 135, but am planning on losing another 15-20 lbs. before the wedding. If you set your mind to it you WILL do it! Good Job!

I am very envious of your accomplishments in this area!  I too hope to lose enough to hit a size 12 and I can't seem to cut back on my red wine :)
