HI, Ladies! I was going over my budget last night. And we finally got a venue that we are both satisfied with! Yay! But I'm trying to go as cheap as possible with everything else. So i was thinking about ordering some gowns off bestbridalprice.com that range from 399-599! I have to live after the wedding I want it to be beautiful and inexpensive! How much are you ladies spending on your gowns. Please help me decide ladies. Thanks so much.
and i'm hoping to only spend 500 on my dress (before alterations- if i had chosen such a soon wedding date, i could use that site too!)
You should try david's bridal they might have lower costing dresses.
I think the 3rd dress in your pics is gorgeous.
stupid money, and it was way too frou-frou anyways
i changed my mind and has already paid half off...
so in the end, my new dress is £1050 which at today's exchange rate is ... $1,533.95USD... now i wish i had shopped around a lot more before making a decision.....
My dress was $450 from davids bridal and my alteration will most likely be $100 or less. I def. had to keep a budget as well. But I think I would still have picked my dress even if I didnt have limits!
Really I figure it's only me and my mom that know how much it costs, and it was regular $1200 so it's still a good dress!:) I would totally recomend looking at off the rack dresses first!
They have beautiful dresses in that range or actually maybe 200 more, but they are very lovely for their price
Okay, let me break this down because I added a few things to my dress. I haven't gone in for alterations and they are not included in the price beyond what I am putting here. My total for my trip to Alfred Angelo (notice I didn't say dress) was 1910.62 with tax.
-$89 for the slip
-$899 for the dress
-$169 to add 3 inches to the bottom of the dress (I am taller and the dresses are made for women 5'9" in their heels. i was barefoot and you could see my feet)
-$199 for the veil
-$159 for the bridal jewelry (which I am now rethinking)
-$250 to add 3 feet to the train of the dress
Nut, I know, but I had to have everything when i saw it. Like I said, I am a fan of the cathedral trains, so I had to have one. The veil is great. So yes, so far, i have spent almost 2k on a dress. Apparently I didn't stop at a bowl, I ate the whole box of Cra-Z Flakes that morning! LOL
I was really lucky to have my mom pay for my dress as my wedding gift. It was $2000 plus it will probably be another $300 or so for alterations.
I'm lucky, as it appears I may be able to have my dress custom made off of my design for about $300. I live in China and fabric and labour are quite cheap here.
I like the dress in the second pic it is so beautiiful.
