I need the good, the bad, and the ugly....HONEST OPINIONS PLEASE...good or bad! :-)
Techinically I will be having 3 types of centerpieces. We changed our venues which changed how many we would need, so I had to improvise.
I'll start with Centerpiece 3 and work backwards.
Centerpiece 3: This will be placed on our table. There are fake calla lilies placed inside red dyed water with crystal beads in the bottom with LED lights, and a floating candle (a red candle is shown but will be getting a white one and there will be 2 of them).
Centerpiece 2: These were actually going to be used for our toasting glasses--but I found something I liked better. Just dyed red water with a floating candle (red is shown but it needs to be white).
Centerpiece 1: I bought these from Linens N Things when they were going out of business--unfortunately I can't buy any more them since they are out of business. We liked both the white and red candle so we will just have both.
I've also included pics of the dining room.
Thanks ladies...I need the feedback.
The picture centerpiece 3-2 looks a bit different...does it not have the pebbels in the bottom? I like the look of it a lot better than 3 or 3-1 because it's a bit lighter and doesn't seem to have as much going on in it.
#2 is beautiful! Very classy, not too much going on. Very easy on the eyes and stunning!
#1 may be too simple. Either way I'm not sure if I like it better with the white or red candle.
centerpiece 3 looks a little dark to me but it may just be the way it looks when you take the picture. i really can't tell what the flowers are. and the only other thing i would do is use votives instead of tealights. tealights kind of look cheap. i don't know how many you would need but i got 144 candles and holders for $80 on ebay.
they really are beautiful!
Unfortunately I do agree with just my thoughts and itsmedmh.
Number three is very busy and a bit too dark but it may just be the lighting from your camera. Have you tried it with clear water? Or maybe clear rocks in the bottom?
I LOVE number two!
number 1 is a bit too simple. Could you maybe sprinkle some crystals around the base, some of the red rocks or some clear rocks to add a little umph to it?
I agree with those that say 3 is too busy, you have a led light and a candle, also the vase is not big therefore I wouldn't use any beads.
#3: I knew something wasn't right but coudln't place my finger on it...I think it may be the clear beads in the bottom (they are kinda big I only picked them up at tthe dollar tree to try them out...definitely need fewer and more "feminine" looking ones (with less the flowers won't be so close to the top giving it that busy look). I will also try the clear water and red beads as well. Thanks for those suggestions.
#2 I find this so funny because they are drinking glasses that were sold at Kohl's during Christmas---a lot of people liked them! I tried the tea lights just to see how they would look--I will look into holders for them..I agree jsut plain tea lights look cheap but I also think maybe votives might be too big.
#1 Definitely needs a little something--maybe if I go with the red crystals for #3 I can sprinkle the rest around. My MOH also has mirrors she used for her wedding so maybe I can add those.
I will definitely take everyone's opinions and try them all out. I'm not an artsy fartsy crafty person so I really do thank you for all the help you have given me. I will repost with the new and improved looking centerpieces.
Thanks again! :-)
