Ask a Question
Paper proofs vs digital for photography?

Hi Ladies...

So I am trying to narrow down a photography and one of the photographers I am looking at has package that includes all proofs in an album (nothing fancy just placed into a standard photo album). So I am wondering, do I really need to have the paper proofs? I am getting a CD of all the pictures anyway and I will have the rights. I am thinking that maybe I can pass on the paper proofs and use that money to go towards something else for my photography. I do like to see physical prints of the pictures to choose what I like best, but if I could use the money to get more "real" pictures in the nice album, I am thinking that might be the better option.

What do you think?

We're definitely opting for digital images.  I don't see a need for paper albums these days.  If you decide you want one for a keepsake, then you could design and print yourself.

I think that digital prints are the way to go especially if you can put that money toward the pics you love.

I'd definately go with digital proofs.

In my opinion, printed proofs are not really necessary, it is just a waste of money if you are already getting the images on a disk.

I agree with the other ladies.  I think having paper prints and the rights to the images are unnecessary.
