I asked my wonderful baker if she could bake us a dozen cupcakes so we could see what our cupcakes will look like---in reality I just wanted some more of her cake hehe She said she could do it and I only asked her to decorate a few but she decorated all of them! She also added a few larger roses so if we wanted to do that instead of small ones we could. The roses are made out of buttercream, so they are completely edible. She also said she didn't want to charge me the full amount since she would have given us 3-4 free.....just when I didn't think she could get any better! Then I asked her if she did groom's cakes and she whipped out her laptop and showed me all of her wonderful cakes she has made. She is really talented--she made a volleyball one and I couldn't tell it was cake! She also made a turtle that looked like a bronze statue. So cool!
I opted for the small round icing instead of the star and I like it. I think we may do a mix of the small roses and big roses and putting the different cupcakes in a different cupcake wrappers to signify their flavor. I just had a cupcake and it was soooo yummy! Almond cake with raspberry filling...mmmmm The cupcakes had a little bit of a traveling problem haha I'm a little bit of a crazy driver and there may have been a few casulaties (notice the red on the box). :-)
