As you may or may not know, I have taken up pole dancing and I LOVE IT!!! Not only is it great exercise, but it is a confidence booster! I feel a lot better about myself and even carry myself differently now. If you have any studios near you that offer this, I highly recommend it. You won't regret it at all! We have ladies of all different shapes, sizes, and ages in our class.

Since I'm in level 2 (out of 6), we are allowed to wear shoes. I finally got around to ordering mine (after halfway through level 2). I was a little nervous about using them in class, since I have the worst balance (I can trip in barefeet) and the highest heel I ever wear would be like 2 inches. These shoes are 5 1/2 inches with a 1 1/2 inch platform, but I did fine and they are super comfortable (hard to believe right?)

I just wanted to share with you ladies. They are called Pleaser Sweet 440 and I bought them from www.shoebuy.com. Check out the site because they have all kinds of shoes...you may even find your wedding shoes there. Don't forget to search for shoebuy coupons on the web...when I was ordering I found one for 20% off.

haha mikeandmel....I seriously thought I would hurt myself (knock on wood). FH warned me that if I broke my ankle, it wouldn't heal by the wedding. haha

I LOVE these!!! I am 5'1 and my FH is 6'4 so 5 inch shoes would be awesome for my wedding :) Thanks for giving the website!!

you're welcome futuredrbraun. They really are comfortable, probably because of the platform. They sell other types of shoes as well, not just this style. Hope you can find something!

These are hot! Please don't hurt yourself, if you do just bling out your crutches for the wedding. LOL

My Matron of Honor and I are thinking about joining classes like that in Louisiana. I hope we can find something. Do you know if the one you go to has a branch in LA?

Omg I am so jealous... I've been wanting to do this for a long time now! I heard it is an amazing workout.. I wish Wisconsin had classes like these.. I could get a pole and put it in my basement, but the only worry is, what will company think?!? lol The shoes are cute!

cherry268--the studio I go to is a local one---but I bet you could do a google and type in things such as pole dancing in your area, pole fitness, that kind of thing. I hope you can find something!

Bluebabygirl--You can get a pole in your house that is removeable that way you could put it up and take it down after you are finished. lol or have a locked room! :-) I wish I could get one but we are only renting so FH won't let me...booooo. haha

i am having a private party at the place where you take your classes for my birthday! i am so excited!!! i hope one of my shower gifts is a removable pole :)

futuremrsvince---that is so awesome! you will love it!! What location did you go with? Herndon is the biggest one and has the tallest poles...the other 2 locations are a little bit smaller. The Chantilly one is the smallest (that's the one I go to right now).

Good for you!!! I have thought about pole dancing classes. I think I need to stick with zumba for the time being, but eventually I will get brave enough!

Pole Dancing classes ROCK! We have plenty of them here in NY! I will surely take a couple before the honeymoon! I cant wait! this was a great post.. we often forget how important it is to keep them wanting more!

i definitely love the shoes! I too took a pole dancing class and at first everyone thought it was sleezy..but it really is a great excersize class and it makes u feel more confident about yourself. its great! i definitely recommend it to all brides out there, FH's will love it!
