I am simply because his is easier to pronoun then mine is.....Plus that is tradition and I am all about traditions!!!!

Just so you ladies know that there is a name change packet that you can get on www.weddingchannel.com!!!

Its not tradition in my culture to take on the husband's last name only the children, but I will hyphenate it.

i am even though he has one of the most common last names in the world...ugh... and mine is so unique. He said maybe he should change his to my last name.....lol cause every time we go some place where he has to give his first and last name they have about 300 in the system.

Took his, but moved mine to part of my middle name! I couldn't let it go!! And I'm mexican so it works out with the whole multiple names thing!! :) Changing it how ever, IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT!!! I'm still going through the process...

Wow, am I the only one who isn't?? My 13 year old daughter has my last name..(I was never married) and I don't want her to have a different last name than me. I really like my name too! My fiance doesn't' mind at all.
 |  San diego, CA, United states  |  05/19/2008
My daughter has a different last name than me, but she has always gone by mine, and now, she calls herself Vigil (Jesse's last name). She loves to tell everyone that she has 3 last names, but on legal stuff we use the given name! And NO confusion for anyone :)
 |  Denton, TX, United states  |  05/21/2008
My birth last name is white my name I used is my stepfather who is may daddy and has been for 19 yrs its jackson and I am not sure whether to hyphinate Jackson-keen or probably just Keen! although I have loved having my daddy's name
 |  Waco, TX, United states  |  05/21/2008
yes I am for sure changing my last name. I will be changing from Durmon (which everyone spells wrong and says wrong) to Daniels. So much easier lol.
 |  New york, NY, United states  |  05/22/2008
I will probably have my name hyphenated much to my FI demise. My parents are both deceased and I just didnt want to part with my last name all the way. Plus my oldest son has the same last name so I wanted him to feel okay with it.

I am sure me and the FI will probably have a few words about it again but ....I'm the boss........just dont tell him I said that...LOL Just kidding.

 |  Alhambra, CA, United states  |  06/03/2008
I am, and I'm very excited about it. I'm not really a traditional person but I wouldn't have this any other way.
 |  Vancouver, BC, Canada  |  06/10/2008
I'm so excited to become Mrs. Robinson!!! I think it would be a different story if I didn't have a brother (who now has a son to pass on the name) But I always new I would!!!
 |  Calgary, AB, Canada  |  06/11/2008
I am. Not only because he earned it, lol but because his is easier to pronounce!
Why wouldn't you?
 |  Mt. laurel, NJ, United states  |  08/02/2008
Yes I know its tradition but even so, doesn't it signify unity as ONE. I also have kids that have another last name, they are excited for me to become a "Brown". I think its selfish not to.
