OUR WEDDING DAY
Finally MRS CLINTON after 21yrs.......
Hello WBC. After several weeks, I now have time to come back. I want to thank each bride for the comments, suggestions and support. My day did NOT go as scheduled but I have NO regrets. I was extremely happy. It was more than I could imagine.

Trashy or semi-classy reception?
Due to the economy, I have to make some cut backs. This month our plan was to buy everything needed for the reception. Unfortunately, as of August 3, I am taking a pay cut. My FH has already taken a pay cut at his job, too.
So my new plan is to serve meatballs instead of chicken, a marinara sauce instead of alfredo, a purple signature drink instead of wine/champagne and the use the eco-friendly plates shown in the picture. We will still serve hors d'oeuvres, garden salad, breadsticks and a fruit salad. What do you think WBC? |

DIY Wedding
WEDDING INVITATION
I created the invitation in 3 layers: black, purple and white. The reception card is 2 layers: black and white. Each has a silver seashell stamp. The invitation has a purple rhinestone and the reception card has a silver rhinestone. This was a FAMILY effort in assembling this past weekend. They were mailed this week! HIP... HIP..HOORAY!!!

DIY Wedding
I blinged my BIRDCAGE VEIL.......
I wanted a veil that captured my personality. I did not find it so I wanted to create it. I started with a simple birdcage veil and added rhinestones and pearls.
Picture #1 and #2 are of my veils. #3 and #4 is a bride who has on purple shadow(lol). I love her complexion and the veil complements her so well. #4 is the inspiration behind the embellishments I added. So what do you think WBC? |

This is our cardbox.........
I purchase the following items at MICHAELS to ceate my box: unfinished wood treasure box - 50% off and the unfinished C for $2.99. The seashells are from MARSHALLS - $8.99, large bag. The pearl C-A-R=D-S were purchase at TARGET for $1.00 each.
My FH spray painted it purple and hot-glued the seashells. Thanks hubby-to-be. My inspiration for the card box is in picture #3. What do you think WBC? |

Wedding Dress
My first fitting..........
I went on Saturday with my daughters(the BRIDESAMIDS) and Cindy(MOH) for the fitting. I let my daughters go first because I was nervous. The seamstress who is a friend of Cindy's is just wonderful. She will be adding silver embellishments so that it will blend with my FH vest and tie. My MOH took this picture so that I can share with WBC.

Three day weekend with my FH.........
I live in Chicago, he lives in Fort Wayne, IN. I go once a month for a visit and he comes once a month. I'm off to GREYHOUND tonight bus leaves at 12am. I will be buying more wedding stuff and crowding his house more. I will also get in a date with him, too!

Wedding Flowers
MOH's TAKE HOME PROJECT.........
So after the party was over my MOH took flowers home to complete the remaining bouquets. Listed are the bouquets for the 4 bridesmaid and for MOH(CINDY). She sent them to me tonight and I just had to share. They are just as beautiful as mine. I am truly thankful to her for taking on such a project. She is really good at doing this.

MEET & GREET - PART 1 UPDATE
On yesterday I had my first MEET & GREET. It was a success. WC and FSIL did water bottles, cut the paper and assembled parts of invitations, MOH created my bouquet and boutonnieres. My neighbor whose not shown in pictures has graciously offered to assist with anything while I'm at work. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR HELP. Take a look at my pictures:
