Well ladies I'S MARRIED NAH....Saturday was absolutely AMAZING....everything went as planned and everyone was so pleased with how everything turned out!!!!!

THE COUNTDOWN HAS OFFICIALLY BEGAN!!!
Ladies its AUGUST...... WEDDING MONTH.....OMG I only have 24 days until our Wedding!!!
With that being said things are coming together wonderfully. Today I ordered our programs and advice cards from vistaprint The to-do list is getting smaller and smaller, I still have to: *Decide on day of transportation *Book hotel room for night of wedding *Get shoes for the kids *Complete the advice card box *Finish up music selections for ceremony and reception *Pay off vendors!!! *GET MARRIAGE LICENSE |

Some things I've been Working ON
We ladies...tomorrow it will be 30 days until our wedding and boy oh boy I cant wait
Things are coming together as planned and I thought I would share with you ladies some of the things that I have been working on: The Card Box....still have to figure out what pic I am going to use at the top as well as how & where I am going to place the lettering CD Favors....I was able to do the label using lightscribe dic I am currently working on my advice cards and box, as well as me and my girls tanks (my bachelorette party is this Saturday...YYYAAAYYY)...I will post pics once I'm done!!! Transportation
So ladies I have 1 month and 6 days UNTIL MY WEDDING...OMG!!!!
Right now I am debating on transportation. I really am not all that excited about having a limo or having my girls ride with me to the ceremony, or having the wedding party ride with us after the ceremony. I would really like to get a nice luxury sedan so that after the wedding FH and I can have some time alone before we get to the reception maybe even go somewhere just him and I for pics. Ladies what means of transportation are you using for your wedding??? Is your wedding party riding with you???/ Are you making a big fuss about the type of vehicle you will be using??? |

NO OPEN BAR
So orignally, FH and I planned on having an Open Bar at the wedding but after some careful consideration we have decided to cancel the open bar.....& guess what I saved us almost a $1000...we decided that we did not want our guest to take advantage of the liquor and over do it, which we know that both of our families would.
We have decided to do a cash bar and a wine fountain!!! Ladies do you think my guess will be upset??? Should I care??? Also, did I mention FH and I are not DRINKERS!!!!!! |

I GOT MY BIRDCAGE VEIL
So I was sooooo against the traditional veil....it just was not something that I wanted on my big day, however the family was on me tough to get one so I gave in and purchased one off of ebay...it was pretty but it just did not tickle my fancy.
So during my second dress fitting I took all of my accessories with me and tried on the veil with my dress & as predicted I did not like it....sooooooo I informed the staff that I was really interested in possibly doing a birdcage or a nice jeweled hair piece and they allowed me to try on a birdcage veil and I absolutely LOVED it, and so did my MOH. So I went in search for the perfect birdcage veil and I purchased this for under $20 on ebay....it arrived yesterday and I LOVE IT!!!!! |

WTH ARE PEOPLE THINKING???
SOOOOO...the RSVP's are steadily rolling in...however the invites that we sent out for Mr. & Mrs.....or just Ms. are coming back RSVPing for 4 & 6 people...OMG this is not a free for all.
At this moment we are at 100 people from the RSVP's that we have back so far....ooohhhh did I mention that we still are waiting to receive back over 100 RSVP's...this has me sooooo stressed. I don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate....I expected that for every invite that I sent out to our single family and friends they would RSVP back with a +1 but +4 & 5 is just completely inconsiderate. We guaranteed our venue 160 ppl and that is the number that we were comfortable with paying for and is the majority of our budget. I absolutely REFUSE to pay for more!!!! The cut off for our RSVP's are on the 4th of August...if we are over our 160 ppl on this day....FH and I have discussed calling everyone who has RSVPd over there +1 and advising them that they will only be able to bring 1 additional person with them. Is this tacky???? What would you all do???? Are we wrong???? |

OMG...I Thought I was On the Right Path!!!
Sooooo.....today I was sitting at work burning the labels on my cd's and realized that their is still a lot of things that I need to do as it relates to the wedding....& I am freakin the freak out!!!!
So with that being said....I NEED TO GET IT IN MOTION because August 25 will be here before I know it. I am happy to say that today, the cake was selected with a definite- DONE The things that are still left to be completed are... * Finding day of transportation (really don't want to do a limo but I've waited so long it does not look like I will be able to get a car I want) * Booking a room for wedding night * Completing favors * Finding shoes for flower girls * Gifts for groomsmen & parents * Card box * Programs * Getting my sons fitted for their suits (was trying to find suits to purchase but have been unsuccessful) & I am quite sure there is more but I am scatter brain right now.....Wooooooosssaaaaaaaa Oh & did I mention on top of all of this my MOH & FSIL (BM) are at odds with each other over the bachelorette party.....can you say SO OVER IT!!! |
