Wedding Budget
OMG....I NEED MORE $$$$$

SOOOOOO our budget is/was set at $8,000.00 but it looks as though we will be over that amount. As of right NOW we are close to $6500 and that does not include:

Invitations
Save-the-Dates (still have to order the remaining)
My Dress
The kids attire
Flowers
Decor
Day of Coordinator

and I'm quite sure I'm missing a few other things

But I guess the good thing is that we have all of the big items out of the way like:

the ceremony location
the reception venue
the photographer
the videographer
his tux
& I've also ordered alot of things as well

FH says we spent to much on the photographer and videographer but to me those are some of the most important things...because we can reflect back on this as the years pass.

So ladies what was your SPLURGE items and are you or have you went OVER BUDGET??? How did FH respond????

My FH just asked me to tell him how much each part costs but not to add it up for him.

We definately have gone over... I know for a fact that my parents have dished out about $8500. We have set out about 5000 and were still not done. We are going to probably close out at $17000or 18000. Our budget was 10000.

Please don't even mention the budget....we splurged on the honeymoon, venue, cinematographer, and photographer. On top of that our guest list is growing. I'm not going to complain because are blessed and my my mom is paying for the photography and cinematography and the FH dad is paying for the honeymoon.

oh boy... i think we all hate this topic lol. we haven't gone over yet, but we did go big on the cinematographer and the photographer. those were very important to me.

Well...we are splurging on the photographer and probably the videographer...but that's it.  I'm making EVERYTHING (favors, invitations, centerpieces, my bouquet and the girls' bouquets *with the help of my matron*, gift bags, etched glasses for the wedding party *fingers crossed*, etc.  We're not paying for his tux (it's free and he's also getting a free suit) because our wedding party is so big.  My budget was also $8,000...but when some minor things were added...it went to $9,500.

I'm STILL trying to wrap my mind around how my matron was able to have a wedding with almost 20 in the wedding party...and over 250 guests...for around $3,000 (I was in that wedding last year)!!!  She never ran out of food (there were a LOT of leftovers and people took food home) and there was an open bar!!!

I know this feeling all to well. I am starting to have the wedding blues..stressed,stressed & beyond stressed!  I am def feeling your pain. Like missnatasha FH asked me the same thing, tell me the price and pay it little by little.

@ Bankhead2be1111 & glamdivabride...its nice that your parents are assisting...my dad says him and my stepmom will assist but I dont know for sure

@mrscsh2be yes I would like to know how your MOH did that as well

@browncurls that is what we are doing paying on things every month like with our photographer we pay them $80/month the videogrpaher broke his payments down to 2 $600 pymnts 1st due in November the 2nd 6 wks after the wedding...and we are putting money up every month for wedding expenses
