What to Do When FH Does Not Agree

I will give FH brownie points he has let me do some things with this wedding that he did not necessarily agree with (videography), but this time I do not think he is going to bend.

HE IS TOTALLY AGAINST ME HAVING LINEN. He feels as though since white linens are included in the package that is sufficient but that is not my vision I'm not trying to go overboard but I do not want just white linens.

That's a tough one. It sounds like u guys are paying for the wedding yourselves. Am i right?? If it's costs that he's worried about, maybe you can suggest renting instead of buying. Hopefully that helps.

MY DH and I had the same argument. I showed him pictures of receptions where they used plain white lenes and then a reception with our color scheme that used upgraded linens. He was sold. Men some times have to see it to really understand the big picture.

It sounds like your FH probably doesn't want to spend more on colored linen. I would see exactly why he is against going with colored linen. If it's cost....see about getting a colored runner or doing some tables in colored linen. You definitely don't want to cause an argument over linen, but you also don't want to put a financial strain on your FH. See if you could pay of the colored linen or perhaps someone in your family.

I agree with glamdiva, you might also check into doing colored napkins that alone can really pop color on a white linen.  Or even do a colored square to save even more money those add a lot of color to and go under the center piece.  Good luck!!!  p.s. me and my FH fought over chairs he actually wanted the more expensive chairs I had to talk him down to the ones that come with the package and we are doing only 2 of the expensive chairs for ourselves that was the compromise- his one groomzilla moment,lol

Linen is definitely not worth an argument. I really would like to do maybe half of the tables in colored linens, and have considered runners, @justmeandhim I never thought about the squares so that is something else that I will look into.
