Monday I will have the last of my Save the Dates mailed out, and after getting the final guest list from FH, his parent, my parents, and my list we have a guest list of 304....OMG how did I let this get soooo out of control???

FMIL is not expecting the majority of her family to show because they live out of state. But they only live 2-4 hours away + we sent out Save the Dates which gives them time to plan if they really want to come.

Sorry for rambling....here is the PROBLEM when we booked our venue we guaranteed 85 ppl, and reserved the smaller room. Once I called to check the max the room could hold I was informed 150 in that room would be tight. The rep from the venue asked how big was our guest list and when I told her she said there is no way we would be able to have our reception in the room we reserved with that big of a guest list and put a larger room on hold for me. NOT A PROBLEM RIGHT...WRONG

FH is dead against going into the larger room because he does not think that we will have more than 120 ppl show. & wants to wait until we get the RSVP's back to make the final determination...me on the other hand I would feel more comfortable with getting the larger room now that way if we have over 120-150 ppl RSVP YES we will be OK for sure and not have to worry last minute if the larger room is available.

Ladies what should I DO??????

Tell him that "We are getting the bigger room just in case. We want to make sure our guests are accomodated. If there are less r.s.v.p's then we will down size....my luv bug!" and smile hard girlie. Us women are like the birds of a nest. We prepare well. Men don't see the things like we do. LOL Tell him, "Don't worry darlin, I got this."

I would get the bigger room .... you never know who will show up as well as if you wait the larger room may no longer be available to you. I agree to get the larger room an then down-size if you have to! Our hall holds 400ppl an we are only expecting about 230 max. But the extra room will be so appreciated then ppl don't feel like sardines haha

i agree with ourrenewalsagain tell ur FH you are getting the larger room and thats that tell him that you would feel more comfortable if you guys got the bigger room that way you are not so stressed out about having too many people fitting into that little room i wish the best for you :) good luck

Wow, well here is what me and my FH did, we did our list and made a def list of people we know are coming in our heads and made a maybe list and a I know they aren't coming list. That number of the def we just added an extra 10ppl to be safe and that's the one we are going with. Good luck hun

Thanks Ladies....FH can be very stubborn and I do not want to go against him on this even though he is not thinking reasonably.....justmeandhim your plan sounds PERFECT and I am going to have FH sit down with me and make this list after he finish watching the game!!!!
