It was his birthday yesterday
Yesterday was my hubby's (LOL) birthday. It turned into all weekend long celebration. We had a cocktail party at home on saturday night. Went to an art gallery and ate at "Last Resort" (one of Andy's fav restaurant in Athens) on sunday. Monday, went to Attlanta aquarium, spent all day with fishes and the highlight of the day "Snorkled with Whale sharks" in evening. It was so much fun- face to face with world's largest fishes (really they are ~25 feet). That was my birthday present to him. We ate at an Indian restaurant in Atlanta and then drove back home. Yesterday, I made him pancakes (with orange and cinamon in them, they're yummy) for breakfast, had a cake at work and finally went to his fav mexican restaurant foe dinner. I took pic of him with mexican hat, but that didn't turn out well.
It was so much fun and I'm so happy to be his wife, he is so wonderful. few pics for all of you :) |

Our Henna night was fabulous as you can see in pictures. By the end of night it turned into 'Entomology' henna night though, I won't complain about it, little nerdy but that's what we all are- our whole group.

Just 20 Days left
I'm so nervous friends
Just 20 more days till wedding. I'm more nervous than excited. We've almost all major things done. Need to remind all vendors 10 days before wedding. Received mose of RSVPs and for those who didn't reply going to add 10 more, just to be on safer side. I've to drop my gown for steam cleaning, DB told me it takes only 3 days still I'll do it this week.
Rehersal and rehersal dinner are finalized. Only things still need to do are- Programs and turn in ceremony script. Oh and how can I forget- I still don't have flowers- :( Wedideas promised me to deliver in coming week so they should be here before end of January and also ordered parents' gifts. FOR MIL and mom- personalized hankies An orchid for FIL and wedding album for my parents. Is there anything I'm not able to recall? |

favors, favor tags and table nos.
I made these favor tags and candy bags for our favor boxes and also these are the final table nos. Just put the card box pic too, I'm using it to collect rsvp now. And last pic is just for fun, my Andy loves to eat at chipotle.
Question: Shall I leave the tag out so that guests have an idea that these cute boxes are for them to take along or put inside and make sure to tell them to take the boxes? We're going to use them as a part of centrepieces. |

Can't believe I fell into trap!!!!!
I'm trying to keep the cost of wedding as low as possible and I know that I'm not too much into flowers. So, I (actually we, FH and I) decided to go for silk flowers. One lovely lady here suggested me wedideas.com, we loved that site and FH and I picked out all bridal party flowers together- PERFECT!
BUT, now me being me, Ms. frugal, I looked around on net and came across this site- Budget-Bride.com, again they've beautiful silk flowers, arrangements and all and they had a special package - $100 package (A bridal bouquet, 3 BMs bouquet, 1 grooms bout, 5 GM, fathers bout, 2 corsages- all for $100)- Isn't it something crazy!! I read about it (ofcourse on their site) and they explained it why it is so cheap- Appreantely they've left over flowers from other projects (they claim that all flowers are same quality as their regular flowers), special orders etc and they use them to make your bouquet. Also, make it clear that you can not tell them what flowers you want, it'll depend upon the designer, give them all the info about your wedding colors, BMs dresses, theme bla bla bla . They also have lot of reviews from customers who says- they LOVED flowers and the quality was great. So, all sounds real, WELL NOT. I ordered my flowers (Total $108 including shipping), they sent me the order no. and confirmation email- ALL good SO FAR. and mentioned the arrival 3 weeks after the shipping. It's 4 weeks now and NO FLOWERS. I called the company- Phone goes to electronic voice and they ask you to send them email. I sent 3 emails- NO REPLY. I looked at the website to track my order, it shows shipped on Dec 9, no other info as it comes from Canada. I got panicked and looked at BBB yesterday, they've lot of complaints about this company and BBB called it a fradulent company. Glad I paid through credit card, I disputed the charge today and hope to get my money back. Just wanted to let all of you know, look for reviews before you place order from any new place- LESSON LEARNT. AND DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP. UPDATE: I got my money back today. YAY. Thanks for all your support. |

Table nos and cake table sign
Ok, the table no. idea is not genuinely mine, I've seen doing lot of brides but I love it and thought to use our e-pics here.
For cake table, I love the I Do letters but I wanted to incorporate maps of our countries as our whole point is India-america blend (music, food, some decor, ceremony and vows). Also, lot of people ask me where am I from in India so I thought to include the places we grew up. I found a pretty wooden collage frame at big lots with Love carved in big letters. It hass three pic slots, middle one is about 4x6 and top and bottom are ~2.5x4 or so, I'm thinking to put our childhood pics in top and bottom slots and We Do pic in centre- what do you think? We'll have 8 tables so I made 8 signs, here shows only 4 to give you an idea of my craziness---- LOL |

make up and hair trial was today
It was a productive day. i had appointment with hair stylist. She did a good job, I need to figure out whether I want it loose (all in my face) ot tie them back (side pins or one in centre)-
Please help me there..................................................... Make up was also good- very light almost natural, only thing I wanted was kohl, I always wear kohl and didn't like my eyes without it- seemed so dull, that could be fixed- right? Also, got my gown altered. Length needed to be adjusted and it's perfect now. And, ofcourse took more pics with gown. I finished my card box too- will post soon. AND, also bought lingerie from VS. Spent too much but it was worth. |

DIY Wedding
Arch- Completed, need your opinion
Hi ladies- Hope you all had wonderful start of new year.
I worked on my arch during holidays and here is the final product- hope it's not too loud or busy. What do you all think? I took pics with lights on and off, the picture on our wall is making the lights a little weird looking although it's a net. Total I spent ~$70 including arch itself. Also, my wild diva shoes, I added this sarvoski brooch last night (got from micheals at 50% off, 2 for $10). |
