Ask a Question
Diamond mesh wrap

I am going to rent chairs like these for my reception. I want my chair sashes to be like the one in the picture. I love the bling!! So I was looking on the internet and I saw that you could use napkin rings to put in the middle of the sashes BUT they are around 4.00 per napkin ring and i will need around 250 of them. So i found an alternative to the napking ring. I found a website that that sold something called diamond mesh wrap that comes in one roll ( I provided a pic of it). The website said that it can be used as napkin rings, on chair sashes, vases, etc. So I bought one yard just to see how it looked and it looks exactly like the napkin ring in the picture. My question is does anyone know how to make the diamond mesh wrap stay on the chair sash? Do you glue it together? HELP!! lol

I love the look...that is going to be very nice. You should probably use double sided tape.

you can cut the mesh and glue it with e-6000. Dispense a line of glue and dip one of the cut ends, press to the other cut end - to make a circle- and hold together with small binder clips until dry. This method will make a sleeve/ring ie for napkins or to drop the glass votive candle in as a votive cover.

for the chair bows it looks like you would wrap the fabric and slip it through the ring and pin the fabric together inside the ring

I have already made napkin rings out of the mesh if you want to check an earlier post of mine to see them!!  I was also planning on doing this with them, I tried it out already on a chair and what seems to work is just cutting the length you want and using push pins to pin it together underneath so you can't see them :)
