I want our wedding to be fun for all ... my grandparents, my friends, myself, and of course, my FH.
The MC/DJ we are going to hire had some excellent ideas and I've seen some of his videos on YouTube and they seemed great!
1 - During that super strange part of the reception where the groom is supposed to remove my garter with his teeth, make it funny by sitting on a covered chair backed up to a covered table. Have a friend underneath the table handing things to my groom so it's a Mary Poppins kind of thing. He's be under there and pull out maybe a snowboard, golf clubs, a person or two. Heh.
2 - The key trick. Hand out dozens of keys to the ladies at the reception without my FH knowing. Probably give a key to my mom and a guy or too, also. Heh. Then when one of his buddies gives a speech, have him announce something like: "For all you ladies in the crowd who are still in possession of Alex's apartment keys, you will need to return them. He's off the market now." And then all these dozens of girls drop keys on the head table. Even my mom. And a guy or two.
3 - The Newlywed game. You all know about this game ... where we would swap shoes and use mine to indicate me and his to indicate him. We'd face away from eachother on the dance floor with our chairs back-to-back. Our MC said he asked once whose family was the craziest and the crowd nearly died when both the bride and groom eagerly indicated the bride's family. Hehehe.
What do you think? Have any of you seen these things in action? Are they as funny as they sound?
