DIY Wedding
WEDDING RECEPTION
I featured a many of things I love at my wedding from start to finish from entrance to exit elegant yet simple with a flare of Travala (Travis & Lala = our hollywood name)
We started our evening in the foyer serving an aray of cheeses, crackers, chocolate covered strawberries, petit fours, and european mini eclares. Also in the foyer was my DIY wishing tree and my sign read : ************************** A Kiss for a wish Please use the provided tags to leave a note for Travis & LaEbony then hang your note on the tree! Need insperation? -Words of wishes -Marriage advise -Memories of your wedding -Draw a picture Have FUN and dont forget to sign your name!!! Then take your Kiss!!!!!! ************************************ as my guest entered the reception they greeted the gift table and then passed the 4 teir wedding cake!!!! Featuring Cookies & Creme, Ameretto, Recess Peanut butter, and strawberry The Ameretto, Peanut Butter, and Cookies & Creme had NO CHANCE OF SURVIVAL since strawberry was the biggest teir it had left overs & thats what I ate lol There after My guest were seated and watched as I preformed my 1st dance to Rick James Ebony Eyes, my Father Daughter dance to Beyonces Like my daddy, My mother daughter dance to Mary J. Blige You are my Everything & MC HAMMER CANT TOUCH THIS (because you cant me and my mom are way close) then with my wedding party we danced to VIC WOBBLE and I asked all who knew the dance to join us on the dance floor......After that dance we all had a seat to get served our MASHTINIS they were delicious!!!!!!!!! I watched groups get up to enjoy the lemonaid bar our flavor shots were melon raspberry, pomagranate, and strawberry (yummmm!!!!) HUNGARY YET?!? |

WEDDING VENUE CHANGE
So, I was going with the beach wedding because Im a Florida girl and hey Im also a BEACH BUM but...........The Venue permit didnt grant parking JUST the location wich sucked UBER cahones due to the fact that I have over 100 guest & props to load and unload I need parking OH & nothing else was in the immedite surroundings to use as backup parking UGH!!!!!!
Fortunatly my Hubby works for the city & pulled a few strings to get us this secluded island that features a ampitheater get this IM THE FIRST IN HISTORY TO GET MARRIED HERE =) God definatly has great plans for me Im so happy things worked out now I need to get back to informing my guest on the venue swich....... |

Foot Jewels
technique to create my footjewels for my ceremony! =)
I PURCHASED ALL MY STUFF AT JOANN FABRICS SO I STARTED MY PROJECT W/: 1. 2.5mm CRIMP BEADS (1) $1.29 2. .7mm/.28" STRECH MAGIC (1) $2.50 3. DIYED PUKA SHELLS CHIPS (2) $2.99 4. WIRE CUTTER (that I used to smash the crimp beads) DIRECTIONS A)I pulled about 12" of strech magic and cut it I then folded it making 6" on either side made a small circle to put my toe in once it was my desired size I applied a crimp bead from the loose end side and slid iti up to secure it and used my wire cutter to smash or "crimp" my crimp bead. B) with the two loose ends I applied 16 assorted colored puka shell chips to either side and then I slid another crimp bead up the loose ends and stoped at the last shell. I crimped the bead again using my wire cutter. C) I then slid 20 assorted colored shells up the two loose ends on either side once I was done I sized my ankel marked the strech magic and too it off I then placed my last crimp beads I placed one behind the ends of each side of the anklet and then I pulled the crimp bead up to my marker and secured it with my wire cutter. My Wedding Ceremony will be on one of the Atlantic Ocean's most famousCities DAYTONA BEACH BABY!!!!! I Will have my wedding on a secluded island that overlooks The Halifax River and Downtown Daytona Beach Florida. My wedding ceremony will include my pastor as my officiant, Dr. Evelyn Bethune (granddaughter of Mary Mcleoud Bethune & owner of the legacy foundation) as my wedding singer I will have 4 Bridesmaids 1 maid of honor and a Jr Bridesmaid 4 Groomsmen 1 Best Man and a ring bearer. I will be having a sand ceremony a lighting of unity candels and I will also JUMP THE BROOM!!!! My wedding reception will be locatetd at the Presidents Banquet Room at the Bethune Cookman University Civic Engagment Center. It has a foyer and a large Banquet room with emaculant chandilers adjustable lighting surroundsound and a full kitchen. My food choice is a MASHTINI BAR served on it will be yukon mashed potato, chives, an aray of gravys, sour cream, shredded cheddar, bacon bits, and pop corn chicken. To drink there will be NO ALCHY my fhi & I dont induldge in the fruits of such a thing (lol) but we will have a Lemonaid bar (a basic lemonaid from a cute fountain but a server will offer flavor shots & a stirrer) and water at the tabels. I am expecting 100 =)
