We Made It!!
1 year Anniversary
We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past weekend! Things have been so awesome this past year...Not to many problems, even less arguments...I love my hubby even more than ever...He went and got a replica of original top tier of of wedding cake..such a sweetheart..We opened the cake from our wedding....GROSS...lol..Needless to say we didnt eat it!!!...Congrats to all the upcoming weddings. PS I still have lots of wedding stuff in my closet!!! It won't go away...lol....

Wedding Video
Videographer Dissapeared with my Wedding Video!!!
I am soo sad. My videographer seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. I've only heard from him once since the wedding, (like 2 weeks after) and he told me he had been sick, but the video editing had been going well. Well, I've been blowing up his phone and his assistants phone, and emails. I can't get hold of either of them. I just don't know what to do anymore. We never signed any contracts or anything, because he did the whole wedding and reception for free..(we were friends in college) .I have no idea where to find him..I'm just so heartbroken. All we have is a video that one of the groomsmen shot, so its really crappy and shaky and doesnt show everything. What should I do? I dont wanna think the worst, but no one seems to know what happened to him. I don't know if he's sick or hurt, or anything. I've known him for years,& its just not like him to act this way...*sighs*

Honeymoon
Cancun Honeymoon in 2 weeks!!
I'm so excited, I know its been a while since I've posted, but its finally here..In two weeks, my new hubby and I will be laying on the beach in beautiful Cancun at the Golden Parnassus all inclusive hotel. I'm so happy because we paid for our whole wedding ourselves, and we didnt have a dime left after the fact so we knew we werent gonna be able to pay for a honeymoon. Our families came thru for us tho, and we got some great monetary gifts! So thanks families for the honeymoon. Cancun Mexico, Here we come!!!!!

First DIY REQUEST!
Sooo excited!
So, as you all know, most of the things I did for my wedding were DIY..Well. my MOH (who lives about 2 hrs away) took some of the programs,pictures, and invites to work, and it just so happens one of her coworkers is getting married next year. She asked me could I make her aisle runner, programs, invites, and save the dates!!! How cool is that? Its not a regular thing, but it nice to have a few extra bucks in my pocket for my honeymoon!! I cant wait to get started! I had a small run in with post wedding depression, so this could just be the thing i need to keep me busy for a few days!

I'm back!!
I'm officially Mrs. Shumpert!!!
The GOOD, the Bad, and the UGLY!!!!
The whole weekend was chaotic...Mainly because people didnt do what I asked them too..lol...When we first got in town, we were running around trying to pay off the last minute thing (reception hall, cake, church) we ended up getting to the church late, and it was closed!!! So we went back to the hotel...Friday, my MIL and I went to get our toes and nail done before going to the recep hall to decorate. When the time came, NO ONE was was anywhere to be found except for one bridesmaid. Two of my OOT bm's were stuck at the hairdresser, so was my mom and younger sister, my Matron of onor decided she was gonna come in town when she felt like it, so she wasnt there, and my FH was stuck at the barber shop.GRRR...So it ended up being 1 bm, my young nieces and nepthews, MIL and aunt, who put together the hall....Whatever, we got it done....Then we all go back to the hotel to get ready for rehearsal....The music people werent even there to practice....ALMOST EVERYONE was late...When we finally got started, my Matron of honor showed up drunk as a skunk!!!!! I got so upset I started to cry....My aunt kicked her out and told her not to come back until she straightend herself out..Then some randomn drunk guy wondered in the church from off the street and we had to call the police on HIM!!! He wouldnt leave the church!! The groomsmen had to escort him out, and stay there and watch until he left! Rehearsal dinner went fine, we all hung out ate, and went back to our rooms... The wedding day, I got up extra early and went to get my hairdone....I showed the hairdresser and pic of how I wanted my hair done....She didn't do anything CLOSE to what I asked for! I was just like forget it...Paid her and left.....I finally get to the church, and NO ONE from the wedding party is there.....EVERYONE was late..and their was choir rehearsal going on! there were people everywhere! Someone threw my vows away (luckily I had an extra copy in my bag!) I had to get dressed in this TINY office, with 10 other girlsin there...The photog didnt get any pic of me getting dressed because she couldn't fit in the room (even though I asked everyone t cme to the church dressed, 4 out of the 6 girls actually came dressed...Most didnt have ANY jewelery...and I ended up helping them get dressed...No one really cared what I was doin....it was nuthin but drama the whole morning!!!! Fast forward to the wedding, we ended up starting an hour late because of miscommunication between the coordinator and the pastor...but when I finally walked down the aisle, all that stress melted away, and I felt like a brand new woman....My Husband bawled the minute he saw me....He read his vows, and had everyone in the church crying!!! It was soooo sweet....Most people didnt really "get" the sand ceremony..lol...I guess they were confused..becasue there was no unity candle....lol... Once it was over, we hurried up and took pics, and ran to the reception hall, and parted alll night long!!!! I would have done some thing diffrent, but overall it was a great day...Everyone loved all my DIY!! Even the waiters at the hall were asking for the centerpieces!!! I was completely flattered! People loved the cardbox, and the candy buffet was a HUGE success...I had a great time!!! |
