Wedding Reception
Swing Restaurant
We're having our wedding reception at a restaurant in a golf course. I wanted a venue that was trendy on it's own and needed minimal decor. I fell in love with this place one day when my mom and I went for lunch. The tables will be covered in white linens with damask table runners and the chairs will be covered in black chair covers with white bows. The view is absolutely beautiful!

Our Baby!
Our Bernese Mountain Dog
I know this is totally unrelated to our wedding, but I had to introduce you to our 5 month old puppy, Sophie. Doesn't she just melt your heart?

The Proposal
It felt like I waited forever...
Kyle and I had actually only known eachother a short time when we knew we'd be together forever. In August 2008, I was living in Toronto and decided to move back home to the Niagara area. On one of my first nights home, I went to a friend's house for some drinks and she had invited some other friends over (Kyle being one of them). At the end of the night, he told her that he thought I was cute and wanted my number. When she told me this the next day, I told her that he seemed like a fun guy to go out on a date with and I had no problem with her giving him my number. From the moment we started dating, we were inseparable and 100% in love. I never knew what it was like to fall for someone so fast and "just know" you're going to spend the rest of your life with them, until I met Kyle. By January 2009, we had purchased a house together and by April 2009, we had started talking about marriage. As the spring carried on and then turned into summer, I was getting antsy and impatient and constantly asking him when I was going to get my ring (we had basically already decided that we were going to get married in the spring of 2010). He told me to be patient and that when he proposed, he proposed. I spent the majority of the summer constantly asking him and basically planning our dream wedding. One day in August he said to me that when I stop asking, maybe then he would propose. So I stopped asking and on my birthday in August, he came home with a single red rose and this beautiful ring (which I had of course picked out) and while we danced to our favourite song in the kitchen, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I of course said "yes" and on August 5th, 2009, almost a year after we had started dating, the road to our happily ever after began.
