So, I've had my bridal shower and just had my bachelorette party...the big day is next!!! I can't believe it's almost here!!! I've finally started relaxing. The last month was a stressful one! I just recommend...once you've hit the last 30 day mark, spend as much time with your family and friends. It has helped me chill! hehe! No bridezilla here!!

I am making chocolate truffles for my favors. I realized little cookie cutters or picture frames were too much and that my guest would appreciate something that I had made much more, (especially since they all know I love to bake). I found white favor boxes from Michael's (on sale) and green ribbon which will close the box. Everyone thinks I am crazy, but I think it'll be fun!!! I am going to attach a little tag to each one that reads, "Made especially for you, from the Bride!"

I have also finished my bridesmaid's gifts. I made each a pretty little freshwater pearl necklace and will be giving each a bracelet, also freshwater pearls, that I purchased from a Silpada party. The bracelets came as a set of 7. I think I am giving each one and the rest I think I'll wear. I was just amazed how perfect the pearls matched each other. To top off their outfits, I purchased black cardigan sweaters from Victoria's Secret for each of the girls. I decided on black, so that they will match the boys in their black and white tuxes.

We finally got our registry done. We drove up to the bay area and hit up Crate and Barrel and Williams Sonoma! Boy did we have a blast. Trent and I love to cook...especially gourmet...so we spent lots of time in the kitchen departments!

Anyways, our experience at Williams Sonoma was a good but a little frustrating...help was limited, the scanner was incredibly loud and lots of items had no bar codes. We managed to scan the important things. We later went home and edited it online.

Crate and Barrel was so much easier!! We walked in to about 5 women anxiously waiting customers. They handed us a scanner and then off we went. After we finished we docked to a kiosk and that was it! I highly recommend C & B. They have pretty awesome stuff at reasonable prices!

Oh, and we just registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond today!!! Fun, fun!

Just ordered our invitations!!! I think they are beautiful!! Sort of the Victorian look I was going for. The green border is a little darker than my clover green, but hey, who cares! I actually ordered them online...a little hesitant...but found that they are so much cheaper than going to a boutique stationary shop. www.weddingpaperdivas.com is where i got them. I highly recommend this site. You can personalize and view the cards before you order...makes it a lot easier. The labels we might use are from Martha Stewart's website. i thought they would look more unique than regular address labels.

The Vitamin String Quartet! Have you heard of them? They are amazing. I found them while searching itunes one day. I was looking for ceremony music choices. They are known for creating tributes to an array of different bands by transforming the original song into something so grand you'd think is was coming from an orchestra...from Smashing Pumpkins & Guns and Roses to Tim McGraw and 311. Got a song you love...pretty sure they do a tribute to it. Check out Guns and Roses, November Rain done by The Vitamin String Quartet!!! Pretty sure we are going to use it for a Prelude song...while everyone is arriving. I also love their version of Perfect by Smashing Pumpkins. The great thing about these songs...is that our generation (and my rocker fiance) will totally appreciate them...and so will our elders...they are mellow and melodic enough....sounds like wedding music to them!

I chose a cathedral veil, mostly because I will not have a runner. Our wedding is on grass....so, a runner will look weird and be hard to walk on. Anyways, this is the style I am going for - up! I do want a large flower pinned to the side as is in the second picture. I would love to wear my hair down...but know I will get easily frustrated...especially since the wedding is outdoors!!!

So, I had originally thought of doing a save the date magnet (which is what everyone I know has done); instead I did these picture cards. I used a picture that was taken the night of the engagement. I found the template through target.com, which is pink and green, our wedding colors. They were relatively cheap compared to the magnets, plus how long are people really going to want a picture of us on their fridge...well, besides grandma and grandpa?!

Cake tasting was so much fun! We decided on an elegant white with green ribbon. The cake itself is mostly chocolate chunk with bavarian and chocolate mousse fillings!!! YUM! It will have three layers and will be round!!!

I live on California's beautiful Central Coast, but my mom lives up in Reno. She really wants to be apart of all of the planning. So, I decided I would make a trip up there and check out wedding dresses (so she could be apart of it!) Well, the first one I tried on was the one I bought!!! It's from the Galina collection at David's Bridal. While here I also chose the color of my bridesmaid's dresses...Clover Green!

The first thing we did after the engagement, was book our place and set a date. We chose the beautiful Historic Jack House and Gardens. The ceremony and reception will take place here. It is located in San Luis Obispo, California. It will happen on May 24, 2008, Memorial Weekend!!!

YAY!!! We're engaged!!! I can't possibly describe how excited we are. We have been together for almost five years, but knew we were meant for each other the day we met. So, this is how it happened:

Trent had decided to secretively take me ring shopping with his boss' wife, (who had coincidently received her jewelry wholesale license) up to the Jewelry Market in the bay area. Apparently if he brought cash, she could get a us a killer deal on a very nice ring. But in the weeks leading up to the event, Trent had decided he wanted this experience to be a little more personal. So, on the day he had told me to take off from work (a Wednesday, so I wouldn't expect it) we ended driving down to LA to Robbin's Brother's. Of course I suspected something huge, and to my surprise it was!!!

To make a long story short, we picked out the ring in literally 30 minutes. I had done my research, knowing the day was soon to come! The ring was exactly what I had imagned it would be.

He saved the real proposal for the next day. We went to our favorite beach (where he presented the ring to me and properly proposed), then to top off the evening, he surprised me with dinner and the hot springs!!! Amour!!!!
