Well, it's official. I'm a Viva Glam V girl.

I wasn't going to pay someone to do my makeup on the day of the wedding, though I'm wondering if I should have . . . the makeup I bought at MAC today was easily the cost of having someone come do it for me. Oh, well, at least I own it now.

I went to MAC and had them do me up today. I couldn't afford everything she put on my face - I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but it was over $300 in makeup! I bought the foundation, coverup, mascara, lip liner and lip gloss. I'm hoping my Maybelline eyeshadow will work!!

What do you think?

Oh, I didn't spend $300!!!  I only have about 1/4 of the stuff she used on me . . . . Luckily, I had $50 in gift certificates, and I applied for an HBC credit card to get an extra 10% off . . . still cost me $70, though!

your own eye shadows should do the trick but I highly suggest you investing in a makeup primer product.  You put it on your face (all over) before applying your makeup.  It should help your makeup stay on the whole day and it also helps a lot when you aren't using the highest quality of product.

I'd do an eye-shadow primer; it will keep your shadow from creasing, and help keep the color strong.  My faves are Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and Urban Decay Primer Potion (purple bottle).  Both are available at Sephora.com.

BTW, your make-up looks awesome!
