Ask a question:
  I have been very busy, it has been almost a month since I was on here last! A lot has happened. A couple of weeks ago yet another one of my family member's became a widow. It was so unfortuate, especially because she is young, very young. This death has made me remember that I had wanted to created some sort of memorial for all the loved ones we have lost. Originally I wanted to have a table with photos those who have passed, but my fiance said that this would be sad and depressing. Then someone suggested that you leave a chair for them at the table where they would be seated, again my fiance felt that this was depressing. So I think Ihave found a way to remember loved ones, without upsetting anyone. I plan on placing a prayer candle (catholic prayer candle) on our guest table with a little poem or something that says that this candle is lit to remember any loved ones taht have passed. I wan this to be a reminder that they are not forgotten, and that thery are there on our special day but not in the way we wish they could be. I am just having a hard time finding the right words for the poem or saying. Does anyone have a poem or something we can use. I am struggling to find something to put..any help would be much appreciated!   |

This is just a list for myself so that I can keep track of all the DIY stuff that I need to accomplish....
Favor boxes:ribbon & monogram Children's packs: crayons, colouring books, puzzles Kids games: bean bag toss, cards, etc. photo mobile: select pictures for our photo mobile Frames: for table numbers & wish tree, paint silver Table numbers: Print and stamp, rhinestone Frame: large frame for guest to find their seats Wish Tree: print up our sign,"Please leave your wishes for the new Mr. & Mrs." I think this is simple and quick to read Invitations: make pocket folds bathroom baskets: paint them, make the signs "Compliments of the newlyweds, To help you feel your best! Just use a little...freshen up, And leave some for other guests!" (which I totally stole from Marta12) ....and that is all I can think of ( ooh I love my sister I just spoke with her on the phone and she has offered to make my bathroom baskets for me!! She owns a basket making business so I know she will do a kick ass job!) |

Pampering Myself..hehe!
 So I went to get a hair cut, nothing major...but while I was there I was talking to my hairdresser about how I was in neeed of a facial ...but facials are not cheap and I always say that I am gonna do it but I never end up going because I feel bad about spending the money...Well my hairdresser had a huge smirk on her face and told me that they were doing a promotion where all the facials were half price! The esthetician there is really good, she looks at your skin the day of the facial and she diagnosis your skin based on what she thinks you need, not what you think you need...so I have an appointment next saturday! I am sooo excited...But everyone under the sun has been saying that I am under too much stress, so I got a friend of mine to cover my shifts at work this weekend, I went over to my girlfriend's house for her bday party and I had a couple drinks and just had a good time...it was so nice not to have to get up at 5 in the morning on a weekend! I plan on continuing to pamper myself her and there because I want to enjoy my wedding planning, my job and being in school...this obviously relates to my earlier post in which I was clearly doing too much...I should also mention that now the hairdresser is booked for the wedding and we are gonna do a trial run of hair and make up on the day of the stag and doe..we were also discussing hair extensions..but I am not 100% sold on having extensions for my wedding...but we will see....  |

How are you keeping your lost loved ones close on the big day?
Keeping my Grandma close..
I will carry my (maternal) Avo's (grandmother, in portuguese) rosary with me on my wedding day along with my bouquet. It is a family heirloom plus the fact that it belonged to my grandmother, who passed away 10 years ago... my fiance has been contemplating carry his maternal grandmother's wedding band and his paternal grandfather's wedding band... Do you ladies have any idea of how you will honour a lost loved one?

So very tired...
UPDATE: hello ladies sorry for the rant that I left last night...but I was feeling the stress. I just want to clarify a few things.. 1. I absolutely appreciate my parents, what I was trying to say is that when I come home & am exhausted and they have let her eat a whole box of popsicles and is coming off the sugar high just in time for me to try and get her to bed ....frustrates me...but I know that some grandparents aren't involved...my FH mom & dad live down the street yet they rarely spend time with our daughter..trust me I know ... 2. My Daughter was never on a strict schedule, just one that ensured that breakfast, lunch & dinner were at the same time everyday, and that she was in bed the same time everyday..I find that my daughter & I do much better on a schedule b/c we know when to expect things...it is easier for us that way... 3. I have 1 month until school is out for the SUMMER...lol I still have another semester that starts in September... I hope this makes things clearer...but I would also like to thank you ladies for all your kind words and support...but I gotta go I have placement at the hospital now... Ladies I have a bit of a rant...I think the stress of everything is kinda getting to me...I mean individually things don't bother or worry me but on a whole I am freaking out...My daughter is no longer on a schedule, even though I have worked very hard to have her on one..my parents dont feel that she needs it, so while I work all day they basically let her do what she wants...I miss my fiance b/c he is now working 4pm-2am, when I get home he has already left for his shift..I just want school to be over, I am sick and tired of not having a single day off... I go to school monday thursday & friday, I am at the hospital for placement on tuesdays and wednesdays...then I work saturday and sunday...plus the fact that whenI come home i have to feed my daughter, bathe her, get her ready for bed, clean the house do laundry and dishes, homework...the very little time I have I go online and connect with somefriends..but I just think that I might loose my mind.. I also want to say that I appreciate my parents for watching my daughter for me but I don't understand why they refuse to go with the schedule..thats what kids need... I also feel so guilty because I never get to spend quality time with her... I am not too worried about the wedding b/c I feel like I have enough time to get everything done..but now I think I should count down the days until school is done...one less thing to worry about..that is my only solution for this situation.. :C I know I can't be the only one in this situation...anyone else feeling this way?   |

Hello I am just wondering if there are any brides from Ontario that have ordered from knot.com...I found some things on the site that I wanted to order however they wouldn't tell me how much shipping would be..Did you have a good experience? Roughly how much was shipping? I am looking at purchasing necklaces from there...if that helps...

I am such a make up fan, I love buying it, putting it on...wearing a lot and wearing a little...I dont leave the house without the essentials..so what are my essentials? A little spot treatment consealer (vichy), a touch of bronzer (Smashbox) and mascara (MAC)..oh and victoria secret lipgloss...So ladies what are your essentials?
