The "groom" is just a heart shape decorated...could be a DIY? I think a pair of these would be a cute an unique alternative to the standard tiered cakes. |

Easy, You CAN Do It!
Alright, so if you are having 400 people at your wedding, this may not be for you BUT....
Honestly ladies, these are SO easy, cheap and cute! I went to the fabric store on the weekend and went dumpster diving in the remnant bin. I got two cute coordinating cotton fabrics and made a plan... Cut fabric into 6 X 7 inch pieces. Pin right sides together. Sew (if you can press the pedal, you can sew well enough for this project, trust me!) the two SHORT sides 1/4" from the edge. Turn right sides out and press seems flat. Bring short sides to centre and pin. Stitch raw (long) sides 1/4" from edge being sure to back stitch over where the fabric meets in the middle. Trim extra raw edges. Turn right side out, push out corners and VOILA! Kleenex packets that cost less than $1.00 each and take only a few minutes. If you do this assembly line style and do all of one step with your quantity and then move on to the next, this goes SO fast! I made 10 in like less than 30 minutes! These could be favours, or hand made gifts for the bridesmaids, or put in out-of-town baskets etc. |
