Dress?
This is the one we're waiting to come in to try! It looks gorgeous! Has anyone tried it? It's a Mori Lee! I still wanted to take a trip to Regina to check out Le Chateau and some dress shops there, but if I can just find it in town then that's so much easier! How much has everyone spent on bridesmaid dresses? The ones we've tried have been $200. So hopefully this one won't be more!!!

Ordered!!
All right so after trying on quite a few dresses and himming and hawing over about 3 favorites I totally decided and ordered my dress! I picked it out at Dream Weddings in Yorkton. It's a Bonny and I love it! SO I'm thinking April it will be in and I should'nt have any altering to do! Phew...now onto the bridesmaids... the dress I love should be in for them to try this week!

Wow...this is gonna be tough!
SO I've tried on maybe 28 dresses so far... I have 3 I love! But I still want to try on a few more! I am so picky and I keep changing my mind! here's my fav's... The First one is #1... Ad the last one along with the purple Sophia Tolli are my 2nd Fave... This is because these 3 I've tried on... so I really want to try the rest on ASAP!!! I love the Sophia Tolli because of the Satin! It feels so silky...and I would order it in Diamond White... The Alfred ANgelo made me feel like Cinderella... and the last Mori Lee one Looked so good on! I had a figure in it!!! So what does everyone like? And has anyone else tried or buyed any of these dresses?

The Knot & M&M's - Only Americans?
Has anyone else gone to the Knot website and gotten excited only to realize that they don't ship out to Canada! I emailed them for any "sister stores" that are Canadian and they didn't reply! I love some of the sales they have and some of the ideas but it sucks that they don't ship to Canada...whats up with that !!!!
With that said I was on the M&M web site checking out the personalized M&M's! What a great idea! But they don't ship to Canada either ... so ... Those Canadians out there that got M&M's personalized...HOW and WHERE :( And I thought Jelly Belly's would be lovely too as a favor... YUMM! But American too :( |

Ceremony

With Matthew not being very religious and not wanting a traditional church wedding we decided to talk to a Justice of the Peace minister and opt for an outside ceremony! I phoned Rose Walters and she was just a joy to talk to! I know I made the right choice when she said after we meet we'll discuss the type of ceremony. In a church it's basically this is what you do, stand here yadda yadda. This way I can choose some poetry or quotes instead of bible readings and use some less traditional music! I am pretty excited!

The cake is going 2 ways right now.... I either want a three tiered, fondant with large purple flowers or a one layer fonant surrounded by cupcakes with purple icing... I can't find the pic yet of the 3 tiered cake... but it was in one of my many bridal magazines...I'll find it!!!

HELP
This is giving me a headache.... first I wanted 2 bamboo shoots in a black wood vase with our intials on the front and a purple ribbon around the vase. But wow bamboo isn't cheap and I'd need about 60 bamboo shoots. I thought I'd be able to buy 30 and cut them in half. Tried that and they rotted on me :( SOooooo I found a cute pic on Theknot.com. It's a square vase with sliced limes and some nice purple flowers, The only thing is that we'll be putting them together just a day or so ahead of time since it is fruit. Any ideas???

Here's what I like
I'm not an expert on the names of flowers and it always seems like the ones I like are the most costly ones.... this is an area I could use some advice on! I want purple, light and dark shades and cream for my bouquet and for the girls cream flowers with a bit of purple... nothing too large for them but not a single flower either.

Haven't tried any on Yet!
I've been looking through tons of magazines and the styles I like are empire waist and I want the "cake icing" look for the bottom half. I don't want too poofy! Fitted and ruffly I guess is kinda what I want. I love this Maggie Sottero - Dallas Marie dress and the Mikaela 1258 dress. If I can find something similar which is about $700-1000 I will be in Heaven!!!

Bridesmaids
trouble deciding on a dress style
I don't want to be too trendy but I like the bubble hem dress and I like the one strap too. I also want a shorter style! Here's some pics I found. I'm not sure if I really love any of them yet. I don't want to find anything real expensive and would love to be able to go into Le Chateau and find the perfect dresses. I have 2 bridemaids in Regina and 1 in Saskatoon so they both have Le Chateau's. I however am not close enough to go shopping each weekend. Regina is about 1 hr 45 minutes and to drive and not find what I'm looking for is such a waste of gas. I wish they had a better website! I want my girls looking hot though!!!
