Checking in on my ladies!!!

I haven't been here in so long!! I just wanted to say hello to all the brides to be as well as say hello to any WBC alumni!!
It has been a long time since I posted last. I am still happily married and life is wonderful. My kids are now ages 16,15,14 and 10. I am currently planning my Daughters sweet 16 (it never ends). Anyways, I just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone. Hope all is well.. to the brides to be..QUIT STRESSING!(yeah, right lol!) |

 My son Jon ventured out yesterday. The drifts went above my waist..he just isnt heavy enough to sink much LOL If you looks close, that is our ABOVE ground pool that is 4 1/2 feet deep. This was during the blizzard. The pool is about covered..it is not fully covered! Thats my van out there LOL Finally shoveled out!! It took all day and the help of MANY neighbors Theres Kate in there walking to the car after we got shoveled out. Pretty amazing how high the snow is!!      |
BLIZZARD!!
We got snowed in!!
Well, I live in the suburbs just outside of Chicago and HOLY COW have we had a fun few days!! Wanted to show you all some pictures I took of our blizzard 2011!! We had 60MPH winds that made major drifts.
Today people are finally able to move and the kids are on their second snow day (which is rare out here). We have below zero temps right now so people still stuck indoors. This has been going on since Tuesday afternoon. Everyone now has cabin fever LOL!! One the PLUS side, Kates flight is today and thank GOODNESS it is not canceled. She is off to Florida today at 2:00!! |

1st PLACE!!
Unpredictables Daughter
Some of the "seasoned" WBC sisters have watched my Daughter Kate bloom from an alternate on her Varsity Poms squad (as a Freshman!) to an amazing dancer and competitor.
I just wanted to share her latest accomplishment! Last weekend her squad made 1st place in their kick routine AND in their hip hop routine, landing them a place in State. Next Thursday, she heads to Florida to compete in NATIONALS in Disney World. This weekend she has another competition as well. I am sooo proud of my Kate. She started off so timid and scared. Texting me from camp crying saying she couldn't do it. I knew she had it in her and she is a shining star in my eyes!! She is one of 3 Freshman on the varsity squad and she was 1 of only TWO freshman to even be in the kick routine.. other girls were pulled for their inability to keep up. All this while holding a 3.80 GPA!! THATS MY GIRL!!!!!! For your viewing pleasure Kates routine!! She starts in the back row on the right. She is one of the girls that does the splits between other girls legs.. Just follow her neon blond bangs LOL!! ** My son was taking the video so don't mind his pointing and slight talking at the beginning He was trying to show their Grandma where Kate was in the line lol** Heres the Hip Hop routine!! Skip to 1:15 because they messed up the music |

advice for you all!!
Listen, I have some real easy advice for your wedding day
do NOT, I repeat do NOT go to the MAC counter for a free makeover for your big day.
There is a HUGE difference between glamor makeup and makeup for photography. HUGE difference. This is the biggest day of your life. The pictures will last a lifetime. You spend months on searching for the perfect hair and the perfect dress. You do a hair trial, but wont do a makeup trial? Why not? Ask your photographer if they have a makeup artist they recommend. See if the artist has done makeup for photo shoots for print (such as local magazines, fashion shows etc) and ask for samples of their work. Look at their portfolio!!! DO a makeup trial. Have the makeup artist or a friend take pictures of you with the make up inside, outside, low light etc. See how it looks. Whatever you do stay AWAY from eye shadows with glitter. They create all types of reflections on your face. Stay away from the smokyeye using black shadows. This usually causes a raccoon eye in pictures. There are ways to get the smoky romantic look without incorporating black eye shadows. Be prepared with pictures to help the artist out. Show her/him what your vision is. A great artist will know if this look will be successful on you or not. You may LOVE hot pink lipstick, but it doesnt mean it will look good on you. Not all makeup artists can do make up for photography and make it a success. Please take the time to research this. So many brides say this is the look I want now do it with makeup not realizing it just may not work for their pictures. You spend so much money, please dont skimp on the make up. You will regret it. |

Time and time again, brides ask me to make direction cards.
Lets be honest here. You do not need them! In this day and age we have GPS as well as mapquest. For you to waste money on getting another page printed plus the chance of it upping your postage costs due to more weight, it is just not worth it. Your invitation should have the address and time of your marriage ceremony. You should have a separate reception card IF your reception doesnt follow at the same location. So do you need a directions card? No. I can make you one, but I will charge you for it *winks* Just a little help from your Unpredictable Bride! |

DIY Wedding
The DIY water bottle wrap
I have had a few brides ask me on how to do the water bottle wraps in an easy and very cost effective way.
(Posted is a wrap I made for a former WBC sister) 1- Get your labels printed at Staples. I recommend Staples to ALL of my clients. They are real cheap to print color and I used them for all of my wedding goods as well 2- Have Staples cut the strips. This cost like $2.00 for them to cut 200 sheets or so. This will save you a lot of time and save the headaches of cutting them yourself (Unless you have an industrial cutting board) 3- Purchase clear packing tape. You can usually find this at the dollar store (every Brides best friend!) 4- You want to place a piece of tape on the back of the label first making sure that its smooth and its centered on the tape. Do the same for the front. This creates a "laminating" effect. 5- Trim off any excess if you wish then affix tot he water bottle using a glue gun! Simple & Cheap!! Hope this helps any brides out there!! This is how I always directed my ladies in doing this and all have had wonderful results (as you can see from the pictures) Of course if you want a custom wrap made by me, you can email me printablebride@gmail.com The cost is $10.00 and you get a sheet of 6 labels (2 custom designs so 3 of each design) I do 6 on a sheet because it saves you on the printing costs!! |

I miss you all dearly!! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Years. I am just checking in on you all! Whats been shaking? hows the planning? what am I missing??? Life has been pretty boring for me. Can you believe Chris and I have been married almost a YEAR now? OMG it goes so fast!!!! Got 4 months till our 1 year already!! Everything with us is wonderful. The kids are all doing GREAT and Kate heads off to Nationals in Florida in February. (YAY!!) She is currently rocking a 3.66 GPA (HOLY COW!!!!) So do tell..whats the scoop on my WBC sisters that I miss? Direct me to some weddings I may have not seen!!
