This is unpredictablebride's Black Wedding!

I wanted to share this simply because I do not believe in coincidences. All for a reason.
The past few days I have had some odd happenings and I know it has everything to do with getting married. I think each person in my life from above is just sending me little blessings and I wanted to share them.
This may be lengthy, but I really wanted to share.

I have a ring that was my Aunts. She was killed in a car accident when I was about 6 years old. She was only 24/25 years old. My Aunt Donna is special. She was born June 16th. My Daughter Katlin was born June 16th, 1996. Donnas Father (My Grandpa) Dies on June 16th as well. When we realized Kate and Donna shared the same birthday..she was named Kaitlin Donna.

I have had this ring for at least 10 years now. Never take it off. My Mother gave it to me. My Mother and I no longer have much of a relationship so about a month ago, I took the ring off . I was getting a nasty feeling wearing the ring knowing my Mother gave it to me. I have this Buddha statue and placed it on the Buddhas arm in my bathroom.
Yesterday, My cousin and MOH called me asking if I have the something old, new, borrowed and blue. I said I have no old or blue.
Today ,I cleaned the bathroom and the ring came off the statue and flew to my feet. I picked it up and looked at it. My Aunt Donnas ring has 2 blue sapphires in it. I looked up and smiled and said "OK" and put it back on my finger. I am actually teary eyed typing this.
After cleaning the house today and putting the right back on, I took a nap.

In 2007 my cousin Krissy (and MOH) was nearly killed in a motorcycle accident. She broke almost every bone in her body and lost all her teeth. The guy who was driving the bike, was my Ex Boyfriend.He was killed. I know odd but I guess I should explain a little bit. Matt was the first love thing. We dated from when I was 13 till I was 17. In the process he developed very close relationships with a few of my cousins. It never bothered me..ever. In 2007 Matt took a trip to Florida with my cousin Steve to see Krissy (My MOH) They all went for a bike ride. Then, the accident. My other cousin Jason (Krissys brother) went to Florida to get Matts belongings for his parents. Jason called me saying "You wont believe this..In the seat of Matts bike he had your old prom picture of you two" That picture was from when I was 16. Was his Senior prom. He still carried it with him after over 15 years. The last I had seen Matt he had told me he still loved me and never really got over me and that he would take me back if I would have him.

During my nap today, I had a dream. I have very vivid dreams. Vivid is an understatement. In the dream I saw Matt, clear as day..as if it wasn't even a dream. I looked at him and said "OMG I haven't seen you in forever!" He said "I know" and then walked up to me and gave me a kiss on the lips..and had the biggest smile. I woke up.

I watch Oprah. Love that woman!! Today was a special on overeating and why women do it. Now, I am a TWIG! I am 5 ft 8 and weigh only 106 pounds. I still decided to watch. In the show there was 2 women friends. They would end their relationship every time one lost weight, out of jealousy. Oprah then said something
She said someone who tears you down, doesn't get happy for you when you do better like a new job, weight loss, a new house etc..is a person with issues within themselves. The issue isn't YOU, it is the other person. The other person is projecting on YOU their hate/issues etc. When I heard this today I started crying my eyes out. She was talking about my Mother. My Mother is never happy for me, ever. She can take something positive in my life and make it a negative. However when my mother has something good like A new car etc..she gloats. Badly. My Mother and I dont talk because of this. My Brother told me that he doesn't think Mom will go to the wedding. He then told me that if I decide to call her to NOT talk about the wedding because and I QUOTE "Everything always has to be about Shayne" Umm its my WEDDING! Who is it supposed to be about..YOU?
This is why that Oprah thing made me cry. My Mother can NOT stand to see me happy. I have been told this by a few people but I always think "Maybe it IS me". I took it as an "A ha!" moment and that was it. Just a bit ago Cris and I were watching CSI on TIVO. CSI ended and I hit stop. When I hit stop, the Oprah episode from earlier today was on. Want to know what EXACT spot was playing? You guessed it, the spot where I related to my Mother. It was like someone from above was playing it for me one more time just to make sure I heard it loud and clear. I woke Chris up and started to explain, I then rewound what she said and played it for him. I said to him, Who does that sound like. His exact words "Your Mother".
This was a big day full of signs from above for me, and nothing bad in my eyes. I saw them all as blessings to move on and get married. I have been secretly upset my Mother will not be there Sunday. After what I heard, I didnt even invite her. It was like validation of "Its OK Shayne and this is why!"
I look forward to more "signs" and blessings the next few days..

Anyone else have any experiences now that its closer to their wedding?
Sorry for the long post, but I had to share and quite honestly...needed validation.

So today I went to our location of the ceremony to scope out where to stand etc. I also went across the street to the ice cream parlor to make sure we have permission to shoot there and the owner said she would be HONORED (awesome!)

So here is the location ladies!!

Today it was raining so everything was WET! I pry it doesn't rain that day.
Pray for me ladies for NO RAIN PLEASE!!

A while back I did a post about the pressure of planning our big day. The wedding industry has changed and I think people are really having a problem grasping any of my ideas.

This brings me to yesterday. My Mother in law stopped by the house to help me out with my Daughters dress. While chatting I grabbed one of our straw hats for our photo booth and threw it on my head.
Me- "What do you think?"
Nothing..kind of a blank face.
"Whats that for?"
Me- "The Photo booth!"
"oh"
The Mr. then chimed it about how its stupid and no one will even use the photo booth.
Now I love my MIL and the Mr to death, they just don't get it {sigh}

UGH! No one gets is except me!! People really think I am NUTS. I cant believe people don't see the fun involved in this. The Mr. thinks that people will not use it and it will be a wast of money.
I myself, can not WAIT to use it and either can my kids. If me and the kids are the only ones to use it all night..fine! I'll have awesome shots with goofy hats, google eyes, fake mustaches and big sunglasses.

I do know this much. I KNOW it will be a huge HIT and when the night is over the Mr better give me a HUGE apology for fighting me tooth and nail on the photo booth.

It really upsets me. I mean I appreciate honesty but at least sugar coat the shock and awe of how dumb you think something is LOL!!

I went to look back at the post a fellow WBC sister posted on her headbands but I can find it (sorry) But thank you so MUCH for the inspiration.

I have been racking my BRAIN on how my girls will wear their hair in September. I wanted something natural and pretty..also something easy for them to style.

Ok so most brides know the whole "pee in the dress" drill. If you don't, they say to face forwards on the toilet..(Do not sit the normal way)
anyways, my question is:

Are you planning on getting a shot of this on your wedding? As I look at these pictures, I just laugh. They are done by pros!
What do they say?
"Hey, I have a GREAT idea, lets get a picture of you on the toilet! It will look AWESOME in your coffee table guest book"???

I just cant foresee myself having my photographer follow me into the bathroom to take artistic shots as I pee!!
What do you all think?

Glitter Mother's Day Graphics

Some of you may have read about my Daughters dress drama. If not, basically the seamstress F*ed up my daughters dress to wear at my wedding, they also ruined her 8th grad graduation dance dress.

I was on a mad HUNT to find Kate a replacement dress that she could wear for BOTH events since their 2 weeks apart.
I have so little time between sports and planning, Kate actually missed school today just to shop for a replacement dress (she was bummed about that lol!)

We went EVERYWHERE and nothing..that is of course until Jamie saved me AGAIN (Owner of Bella Sposa, Tinley park)
The girls at her salon went nuts to help me and Kate, and guess what..they did it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I needed a dress that fit my theme, as well as our ivory/black combo. We found a ton of dresses for the wedding but they were not dresses she would wear tot he dance.

How cute is it!! Even has a vintage vibe!!The picture is REALLY bad but its actually and ivory and black with glitter. We already removed a layer at the bottom to make it shorter and we also tacked down the frills at the bust area so they lay flat. She loves it AND it fits my theme.

10 days to go..AHHHHHHHH!!

Also, I purchased another veil so I will be selling my other one soon!!

So last week I dropped off my daughters 8th grade graduation dress and her black dress for my wedding to be altered SLIGHTLY. Basically Kate only needed the bust area tightened.

Today, we go to pick them up. First thing I noticed was 2 HUGE black lines down the back or her teal blue graduation dress. I said WTF IS THIS?
She says..you didnt ask for dry cleaning..
Umm NOO I did NOT because it was BRAND NEW with the TAGS ATTACHED that you guys RIPPED OFF!!
Then Kate tries it on. They made it so tight my daughter who is a "00" in clothes couldn't zipped it up. I think the altered it for a freckin Barbie doll.
I flipped a LID!!

Then, she tries on the black dress. The fit was correct but where the zipper was, there were seams falling apart and visible holes along the zippers seams.
Girls I about LOST it. They also ripped the freckin tags off THAT dress too!
OHHHH, WE FIX IT! I'll call my manager, can you get it Saturday? Well she has to wear it in 10 damn days!!
I have a feeling I will have to buy her another dress for our September event because this black dress wont fit her again in 4 months is she gains a pound or gets bloated!

This place has done work before for me and always did a great job..right now I am just pissed off!!

Anyone know where I can find a red dress sash for my daughters dress?
I checked ebay and its so cluttered with other sash items, I cant find what I need. I looked at Hobby Lobby etc for a very fat ribbon and nothing nice.
Does Davids bridal sell them??
