Need your opinions please!!
So, the FH really wants a black & white checkered dance floor. I love the look as well, HOWEVER..now that my dress is black & white will it be to much?
I know this sounds sooo stupid but will the dance floor be to much with my dress? (I'm thinking pictures) Should I just go all white dance floor with maybe just a black monogram or stick to the black/white check? I added the picture of my dress for those who haven't seen it yet. (Old Hollywood wedding theme) Again, I know this sounds stupid but we all stress over stupid crap LOL!! |

Wedding Reception
DIY Centerpieces. GREAT IDEA!!
So I was on the hunt for a certain style centerpiece and I ran across this. I actually think I will do this!! Here are the DIY instructions
(However I dont think I'll use jars, just decorate a vase) This will really add a nice "bling" effect if you placed votives around it!! (cheap to make too!!) 1. Clean mayonnaise jar, or jar of similar size (either plastic or glass); 2. Decorative glass marbles in your choice of color(s). These are located in the craft store with flower arranging supplies. They are rounded on one side and flat on the other side, and available in a variety of colors. The vase pictured above is made with clear iridescent marbles. With a hot glue gun: 1. Remove the label from the jar and wash/dry thoroughly. If adhesive residue remains, use a product like Goo Gone to remove the residue. 2. Beginning at the bottom of the vase, glue the marbles to the jar, working your way to the top of the jar, until the entire jar is covered with marbles. 3. Fill with water, flowers, and enjoy! Helpful Hints: 1. Try to arrange the marbles as closely together as possible, but don't be concerned if there are gaps. This will naturally happen, but when the vase is finished, they won't be noticeable (especially with the clear marbles and light-colored marbles). |

My Shoes!! Chanel Ballet Flats
So I am a converse girl..now that my dress is picked..I wont be able to pull the converse off where it would look cute.
So I was thinking about some cute flats. I am however a spoiled diva (Poor FH) What about something like these? Tee hee!! Not sure on black with white or white with black..but I think this may be a cute alternate shoe that will still give a good photo op Besides, whats more vintage than Chanel? Black & White
Well now with my dress found..I can no longer use a damask table runner, that would be to much. Also adding a pink sash to my girls dresses is out as well. The dresses have always been black, just no sash now.
We will accent with silver vs. pink now (ironically that was our original color anyways!) So heres my board for this Still going to do my Peony bouquet, just all white this time!! |

I FOUND IT!!!
I had that moment..that moment every bride wants..
stood in the mirror BREATHLESS, My eyes teared up and my heart started skipping beats. I fell in love, I really did. The owner Donna had a sample that she got from market and for the hell of it, I tried it on. ladies this is it!! The pictures do it NO justice at all. It is actually covered in rhinestones and sparkles so so so much. Now the FH is against black in a wedding dress..however we are having a reception only and quite frankly..I do not care what anyone thinks of this dress. I am getting it. I have never had a dress make me feel this way ever before and I have tried on a lot! I still get shaky when I think about it..I almost want to get video of this dress so others can see its true beauty!!! I am in LOVE ladies..absolutely 100% in LOVE with this dress..I FINALLY found it!! I used my daughters camera so some are blurry (booo!!) Oh well doesn't matter..Im in LOVEEEEEEE!! |
