Wedding Dress
And there goes the budget!!
Those who have been following my posts know of my dress aggravation and my not being able to find anything at all I just love
I found a LOVE today yeah 3 grand WTF! I can't win!!!!!!!!! they had the sample for 500 bucks but the bust has snags on it so it is not fixable I wouldn't think and its like 4 sizes to big as well. *sigh* I have one more appointment at the last salon on Wednesday.. Now I have to get this dress out of my head? PFFT! *side note:: in the pic the belt seems goofy, it is because the tack stitch holding the belt straight is missing, it would lay flat like on the display image* He said to me forget I ever went to that place..I then said yeah well I know if push comes to shove you would let me get it..he said Its just a dress and to relax men. **UPDATES*** I contacted the one dress maker I contacted in the past who gave me a darn cheap rate.. I sent her all the images as well as the information, we shall see what she says and what this will cost me. The dress maker is actually a seamstress for the salon I will be going to on Wednesday |

Wedding Dress Blues also another F-U moment to another salon!!
I am really just aggravated. I have been to every bridal salon in my area the past 2 months..over and over again. Next week I have 2 more appointments at 2 other places(haven't tried on dresses at these 2 yet, they are the LAST 2 even close to me)... I can not find "the" dress. It's starting to piss me off and I just want to QUIT! I'm so tired of looking at freckin lace and tulle and satin and how everything looks like shit on me (in my eyes) I am shaped like a bean pole with NO curves (Im a TWIG..5ft 8 and 115 lbs) and I also have scoliosis my right hip sticks out badly..this has caused problems in every dress I try on. The dress in my display pic I really like..then my MOH tells me I look pregnant..well after 4 kids this is NOT the look I am going for .
Monday I have an appointment with a place called La Spose Di Angela and Wed I have an appointment with Bella Sposa. Today I went BACK one bridal place after they called me saying we have 30% off this weekend only. I told the sales rep that it does me no good seeing as I can not purchase till the end of November. She said if you find a dress and put like 50 bucks down we will honor the 30% when you purchase..well that was worth a trip I guess. I made a list of at least 20 dressed, she looked them up.. oh we dont carry any of those. WTF!!! **AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!** Nothing was freckin accomplished today at all. Every dress I picked was from the Fall line. Maybe I need to quit until those hit the racks? The sales lady took out a book that had some fall line dresses, one had my number in it.. she said to me "was this one you liked?" I said YES!! her reply:: Nahhh, that would do nothing for you, I dont like that at all. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOSE WEARING IT B**CH!!! Nothing like dooming a sale on her part. Let the BRIDE decide what she wants to try on, let the BRIDE decide what she will hate or love..it is not your job to tell me this negative crap!! I am sitting here with a 2k limit on a dress and get treated like DOG CRAP!...On top of that all these bridal salons are pissing me off with their piss poor attitude. This is a damn recession and if a bride wants to take your time and drop 2 grand..Ya BETTER freckin JUMP. ** I just want to add that I dont care if its 2 grand or 200 bucks, every bride deserves to be treated like a queen, this is an awful way to run a bridal salon** Maybe it is just all these damn Chicago places. I cant believe all the SHI**Y service I have been getting at these places! One lady has treated me like a QUEEN. It is a salon out of her house, every time I see her she gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek like I am her daughter. I ADORE her, her dress selection is ok, shes got some coming in for the fall line in October and shes getting certain ones for me..nice of her :) Thats how a business SHOULD be run. Anyways the rant is done (for now lol) On to the question: How long did it take you to find your dress? |

Bridal Shows?
Has anybody ever been to one? Is it useless or a waste of my time? The salon where I am getting my dress gave me 3 tickets, I plan on going with my daughter tomorrow(shes 13)
I am just wondering if it is even worth my time..never been to one yet. I think I am scared to go...as much as I change my mind, I will now have 200 vendors showing me more stuff? lol Suggestions from any ladies out there? |

Invitation Wording HELP!!!
So the FH and I will be having a private ceremony(with the kids) and a formal reception to follow on a later date.. We are paying for this ourselves.
My question is, does anyone have any reception only invitation wording? I have one my MOH sent me thats pretty cute, he made a odd face when I read it to him lol. I need more suggestions. I have searched the net and haven't found anything good yet. Heres what I was given... We slipped a ring on each other's finger And made a promise for life... Join us as we celebrate now that we're husband and wife! NWR. 9/11. Never Forget
With 9/11 in 2 days, I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to all the men and women who have served or are currently serving. Thank you for all you have sacrificed for every one of us
My brother left for the Air Force a few months after 9/11 occurred, thankfully he was never deployed. I had that ribbon on my tree from the day he left until the day he come home (4 yrs later) I flew his Air Force flag with pride!! I still remember the day like it was yesterday. Sitting in my daughters room getting her ready for school with the news on... and it happened. I stood there in shock. As the day went on my fears grew more. My step father at the time was working for the Attorney General in downtown Chicago by the Sears Tower, they thought Chicago was next. I started freaking out and was begging my mom to get him home. She said he could not leave and was now stuck down there all day for security reasons, however they were evacuating others...cops had to stay. Anyways, again a HUGE thank you to those serving..and to you awesome brides planning your big day from where you are... MUCH LOVE TO YOU!! You ARE appreciated, admired and loved!!  I am sure every one of you remember where you were and what you were doing that day. I would like to read your stories as well. |
