Personalized Water Bottles
Hot Summer must-have!!!
I found this brilliant idea from "allielovespink"!!! Thanks girl :)!
Since we are having both the Ceremony and the Reception at the same site, outside and deep in the woods. It is definitively necessary to have bottles of water for our guests. Also considering the entire event is from 2:00pm to Midnight there are a lot a guests who will appreciate that. Not a big investment and definitively a necessity! I can easily do the personalized labels too. tags:

Growing Hair Long
8 Secrets for Long Hair on your Wedding Day!
8 Hair Growth Secrets
Consider adopting some of the following secrets to boost your natural energy, support your thyroid and encourage the growth of new strands that are healthy, shiny and less prone to dryness or breakage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Drink Recommended Daily Amount Of Water Coffee, tea, sugar drinks or beer does not count in your daily water count. Water means exactly that - water. Carbonated and caffeinated drinks may actually speed up dehydration which means that the body is not functioning at optimal levels. Not only can dehydration make you feel drained and exhausted, it can be a hidden factor in hair growth stoppage, dry strands or tresses that break off. Adjust your daily levels according to the seasons of the year (hot weather may require more daily water consumption) and the amount of stress in your life. When pressed for exact formulas, most experts can not give a simple answer to how much water humans should drink every day. A general rule of thumb is for women to drink between 2 and 2.6 liters of water a day. For men the rule of thumb is 2.8 to 3.5 liters. There are many exceptions to this general rule of thumb which are tied back to age, lifestyle, weight and climate. In essence, experts advise that you replace all the water that you excrete every day. 2. Drink Green Tea As always, experts disagree with the merits of green tea and whether or not it does conclusively help hair health and encourage growth. Experts who believe in the hair health benefits of green tea point to the fact that certain compounds found in green tea cause the relaxation of blood vessels, helping overall cardiovascular activity through increased circulation. Of course increased circulation will naturally help nourish hair roots and scalp tissues. 3. Take A Brisk Walk Several Times A Week Experts have discovered that walking at a quick pace for just 15 minutes will help to raise your normal heart rate which improves circulation to your entire body, including to your scalp and hair follicles. It also helps shake out the cobwebs and aids in a feeling of alertness and energy. The ideal time to take a walk is about one hour after a meal. This allows your body to digest and puts less overall strain on your system. Of course it is important to always consult with your personal physician before beginning any new exercise routine that would be strenuous in any way. It is also best to avoid walking at the hottest times of the day. And yes, don't forget your sunscreen, regardless of the time of year that you walk, which is why many people have become devoted mall walkers. 4. Get Enough Sleep Many people are sleep deprived. As a result of daily stresses and strains studies have found that humans are getting less and less sleep. For the body to function at optimal capability, which includes having the necessary energy to nourish and grow hair, humans need enough sleep. Unfortunately there is no pat answer for how much sleep is enough. Again, it depends on the individual. Most sleep experts recommend an average of 6-8 hours for active adults. Depending on age, health conditions and other factors you may need more than 8 or be able to survive on a little less. As a result of more sleep deprived people, cat naps are becoming more popular. A great way to get a daily energy boost is to schedule a 20 minute cat nap. Be sure not to sleep longer than 20 minutes though or else you will more tired than before you napped. Studies have shown that 20 minutes is the very best amount of time for getting maximum benefit. So set an alarm for exactly 20 minutes and catch some mid-day Zzzs. 5. Eat Energy Snacks When hunger hits between meals, eat to nourish your hair roots. Reach for one handful of unsalted natural cashews or a few almonds. Almonds are loaded with magnesium which is an essential mineral for growing healthy strands. Other good hair healthy snacks include yogurt, hard boiled eggs and tofu which all have great nutrients to help hair grow. 6. Indulge In Daily Aromatherapy Many studies have been done on the effects of aromatherapy when used in daily or regular scalp massages for both healthy hair and scalp as well as overall health. Studies have found that there is a direct link between the use of aromatherapy and hair growth. A study performed by the Archives of Dermatology in 1998 by Scottish researchers found that aromatherapy can promote new hair growth. Patients who massaged various aromatherapy oils on their scalps every day enjoyed significant and measurable improvement in their hair growth. 7. Laughter Is The Best Medicine Attitude is everything. Studies have shown that chronic negative moods can impact the human body and cause all human systems to slow down or become sluggish. This includes the circulatory system which feeds the roots of the hair, helping it to grow and remain properly nourished. When life gets you down rent a funny movie or read a humorous book. Take a break and have some fun to light your mood. 8. Eat Power Foods Extreme diets that eliminate major food groups can be detrimental to healthy hair and can actually cause a slow down in new hair production. Diets that are too low in calories or completely eliminate either proteins or carbs can stimulate a form of alopecia that causes hair loss. Always eat a balanced food plan that incorporates healthy amounts of proteins and carbs. Don't forget to take either your daily vitamins or your hair growth vitamins like HairTopia vitamins. tags:

The Meaning of our Colors
BLUE - YELLOW - GOLD
BLUE:
Calm and Cool : Blue is calming. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Nature of Blue: A natural color, from the blue of the sky, blue is a universal color. The cool, calming effect of blue makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep. Culture of Blue: In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away. Blue conveys importance and confidence without being somber or sinister, hence the blue power suit of the corporate world and the blue uniforms of police officers. Long considered a corporate color, blue, especially darker blue, is associated with intelligence, stability, unity, and conservatism. *In the West the something blue bridal tradition represents love. Using Blue: A deep royal blue conveys richness and perhaps even a touch of superiority YELLOW: Hope and Happiness: Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that denotes happiness and joy . Nature of Yellow: Yellow is one of the warm colors. Because of the high visibility of bright yellow, it is often used for hazard signs and some emergency vehicles. Yellow is cheerful. Culture of Yellow: For years yellow ribbons were worn as a sign of hope as women waited from their men to come marching home from war. Today, they are still used to welcome home loved ones. It represents Hope, Support and Remembrance. Yellow has also represented courage (Japan), merchants (India), and peace. Using Yellow: Although it can work as the primary color, yellow often works best as a companion to other colors. Use bright yellow to create excitement when red or orange may be too strong or too dark. Yellow can be perky. Using Yellow with Other Colors: Use yellow to perk up a more subdued cool palette of blues. Yellow and blue are a high contrast, eye-popping combination. GOLD: Riches and Excess: A cousin to yellow (and orange and brown) is gold. It is the color of riches and extravagance. Nature of Gold: The color gold shares many of the attributes of yellow. It is a warm color that can be both bright and cheerful as well as somber and traditional. Culture of Gold: Because gold is a precious metal, the color gold is associated with wealth and prosperity. While all that glitters is not gold the color gold still suggests grandeur. Using Gold: Projects a special, rich touch. Bright gold catches the eye while darker subdued shades of gold lend richness and warmth. tags:

Personalized Guest Book
Add your own Flavor!
I found some really simple guest books for a really good price. Of course they are really plain compare to other collections we may find online but at least they are available at a really decent price.
I'll be adding some Seashells and Gold/Blue Satin Ribbons to simply add a little theme flavor. I really didn't want to pay $30-35 for empty pages in a book. I saw some really beautiful ones with Seashells and It gave me the inspiration to do it myself. I found these two Styles for $17.95 including pen set. tags:

Unity Sand Ceremony
Ceremony Content
THE UNITY SAND CEREMONY:
Is a beautiful way to express your unity as a couple. As you get ready to plan the picture-perfect wedding, your mind may be focused on a hundred different things: the dress, the rings, the cake. Still, you realize that the most important feature of your wedding…the reason you’re getting married in the first place…is your union. And one of the best ways to celebrate that union is with your own unique Unity Sand Ceremony – perfect for the beach theme wedding! You’ve probably seen the unity candle ceremony before. The Unity Sand Ceremony works according to a similar principle: the unity sand container shows your union…this beach wedding idea is a lasting symbol of your love…and it’s tailor-made for beach weddings. The Unity Sand Ceremony Vase Set is an impressive sign of your union. Every time you look at the unity sand, you’ll be reminded of what brought the two of you together…and of a love that will last a lifetime. Read more about the Unity Sand Ceremony CHECKLIST: -Unity Vase (Purchased) -Two pooring vases (Purchased) -Colored Sand (2 colors) SAND SHOULD BE FREE!!!!! *We will not be purchasing Colored Sand from anywhere. Instead we'll go for a weekend to Sandbanks, Ontario and we'll pick-up some of that beautiful white soft sand. We'll then use coloration to make two different colors (Blue & Yellow). tags:

Save the Date
A friendly Reminder! (Magnets)
We will be sending those "Save the Date" Magnets to our guests along with the official invitations.
What a great way for your family and friends to remember the date of the event. *As per our Wedding Artworks Manager a few modifications needs to be made, this is our current draft. tags:

The Vows
A few Special Words!
We decided to say our own vows to each other. We are both poems and rhymes lovers and it will come to us simply naturally. We both think it's extremely important to share vows that are adequate with your relationship.
Our personal Vows will be heard during the Sand Ceremony (5). CEREMONY CONTENT: 1. Welcome (opening of the ceremony) 2. Presentation of the Bride (where she is "given away") 3. Hand Blessing by Father of the Bride before giving away 4. Consent (the two of you must state out loud you are there of your own free will and are "consenting" to this marriage) 5. Sand Ceremony including Personal Wedding Vows 6. Explanation of the Rings 7. Blessing of the Rings 8. Ring Exchange Vows 9. Wedding Prayer/Blessing (closing of the ceremony) 10. Pronouncement of Husband and Wife 11. Kiss 12. Throw the confettis 13. Presentation of the Bride and Groom as Mr. and Mrs. Duval tags:

Fireworks - Couple's Departure
Something Special for our Unforgettable Wedding!
After reviewing all our possibilities (Release of Doves, Release of Butterflies, Hot Air Balloon....)
Having Fireworks at the end of the Reception would really end the night magically. We are having both the Ceremony and the Reception at the same site, next to the water....this makes it perfect!!!! tags:

Transportation
Black Chrysler 300 Decorated for Newly Weds
We are planning to borrow my father's Black Chrysler 300.
It will be decorated with some Gold and Blue Ribbons and of course with a lovely "Just Married" Flag!!! We also need some kind of shuttle to transport guest from the Parking Area to the Ceremony/Reception Site. Horses and a Carriage are a possibility.
