Vendor Reviews
Our Wedding.
Ok, so I've neglected this blog since we got married but I just wanted to update and share my vendor reviews.
We had a wonderful day, I can't belive how beautiful the weather was and how perfect the day really was. The day went smootly there were no issues or problems, the only glitch, our Minister forgot to light the Unity candle tapers, so DH had to do it while we were standing on the alter. The Dress Davids Bridal B+ http://www.davidsbridal.com/ I didn't have any issues with the dress I love my dress, the service was sketchy at best, I went into Orange store 3 times and each time I had a different consultant, because the previous one no longer worked there. So after that, I took a drive to the Manchester, CT store and had no issues at all. Sandra helped me (on a busy saturday) and was very helpful and pleasant, and after about 3 hours in the store with my parents I ordered a dress after much begging by my father. When I got the dress in I tried it on and really wasn't happy about it. So back it went. We exchanged the dress for the dress that I originally went in looking for and they didnt have the first time around. And that was "THE ONE" The store manager was great, she exchanged the dress without any issues and the new dress was ordered, along with new veil. I would highly recomend their dresses the quality was excellent, and what it comes down to is, I loved my dress. The Ceremony/Reception. A+ Villa Bianca, Seymour CT http://villabianca.com/index.htm Villa Bianca was wonderful during the entire planning process all the way though the end of the wedding day. Christine Manager/Coordinator was wonderful, from our 1st meeting all the way though, she was there, anything I needed, any concerns that I had she was too quick with everything. Day of we had Kyle as our Matire 'D he was the best (I wish I could take him home with me....but I don't know if my husband would be to happy about that) anything we needed or wanted he was there, right down to fixing my train before I walked down the asile, b ecause everyone else forgot. Everything went off without any issues, I had the day I allways dreamed of. The Photographer A+ Jenn & Aurora ~ Aurora Photography http://www.aurora-photography.net/ Jenn and Aurora we so much fun to have with me on this day, they we great, Aurora even took the veils out of my hair and put them back in to fix them so yes they were great. They had a slide show at the reception of the pix from the ceremony and the formals they took and they were beautiful. DJ A+ Mark ~ JamKat Entertainment http://www.jamkatentertainment.com/index.html The second we met Mark we knew he was the one. Mark was wonderful, anything I asked for he was able to do. I even forgot a song I wanted played for DH&I and he said hang on and he got within minutes. So again, he was wonderful. Florist A+ Booth House of Flowers, Stratford, CT http://www.boothhouseofflowers.com/ Karen, Bill and Rose are AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough how wonderful they were, I think I found friends for life, I worked with Karen and Rose, they saw my plan and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome of the final product. I can't belive how it all turned out. Cake A+ Eddy's Bake Shop, Ansonia, CT http://eddysbakeshop.net/weddingcakes.html Eddy's was super easy to work with, I told them what I wanted gave and they did it, The cake came out beautiful and it was super YUMMY, we had Carrot Cake with Buttercream Icing, I can't wait for our Anniversary to eat the rest of it. Crinoline Dyeing A+ 2 Bird Stone http://2birdstone.blogspot.com/ http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6413976 Ashley was great to work with, I knew I wanted to dye my crinoline, but I knew with such a short time I wouldn't have time to do it on my own, so I went seaching on ETSY and found 2 Bird Stone. She was easy to talk to and had a quick turn around, I sent her my crinoline and I had it pictures of it dyed with in 3 days, she wanted to make sure it was the color that I wanted and would be able to change it if it wasn't. All the guests loved the way it looked under my dress, and it was a great surprise to everyone when we did the Garter toss. |

Inside front page is 1 Corinthians: 13 Love is Patient, Love is Kind, 2nd Page Ceremony info 3 Page is Wedding party Last page is an invite to join us at the atfter party. And the back cover is another part of the same 1 Corinthians verse. And now these three remain: faith, hope and lovebut the greatest of these is love. |

It's Dyed and it's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
I love the way it came out, and thank Ashley (Etsy Seller 2BirdStone) so much for doing it, I never would have the patience to do it myself. It was well worth the cash I spent to have it done. |

The Ceremony
Here is our ceremony so far.
We are adding a Unity candle ceremony as well, but we really like the vows and the ring exchange. Declaration of Intent. Victoria hold Douglas' hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will comfort you in illness and hold you when fear or grief fills you. These are the hands that will give you support and celebrate with you in your accomplishments. Victoria, do you take Douglas to be your husband, and promise to love, comfort, cherish and encourage him forever? Victoria: I do Douglas hold Victoria's hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you. Douglas, do you take Victoria to be your husband, and promise to love, comfort, cherish and encourage him forever? Douglas: I do Vows I, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and thereto I pledge thee my loveExchange of Rings,I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. Reading 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8aLove is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. |

Wedding Flowers
Florist Booked....Finally
I finally booked my florist today, I went to talk to the orignal florist that I picked out on saturday, after the original price that she gave me, she doubled her prices, so I was out to seach for a new florist with the wedding 6 weeks away.
But I'm so happy I was forced to find another florist. I love the new one that we found. She did exactly what I wanted her to do, she worked with me for what I wanted and she came in way under budget. She even gave me "my bouquet" to take home. |

Guest Book and Pens
The guest book, I did from Shutterfly, it came out beautiful.
Heres the photobook if you want to see it. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=1AaMmzNu0aMnNw Also, the flowers were easy to make, I just bought a package of pens and attached the flowers to the top, then added the ribbon to the pen for the green stem. They came out really cute, I like the final outcome, and it will look great on the table with the flower pot holder for the pens. |
