So, last week I went to a neighborhood florist, right...
Gave her my ideas about baby's breathe pomanders and ceremony decorations. I also gave her my ideas for my bouquet... Well, needless to say, she was excited about the input, and we were batting ideas off of one another for awhile.... I told her that I would be able to provide some supplies that I have already purchased and that I would purchase more... I told her my budget...1,000 NOW, today, THIS BROAD sends me a proposal for $3,000 WHAT!?! For freakin baby's breathe...seriously, for crap that grows along the highway... I swear some of these wedding vendors are outlandish with their pricing, as if people don't have access to the internet and can research and assemble their own centerpieces...AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO DO SMH... |

Wedding Dress
Dress is Back from the Ashes, Maybe
Well, I finally got a hold of Eva's Bridal in Oaklawn, today. They fortunately did not lose any of their paperwork, but I had to inform them that my dress was one that was destroyed in the fire. I gave them my receipt information, and the salesperson said that they will rummage through their paperwork and REORDER my dress!!!
I am happy to have the opportunity to meet/have VIVICA (I named my dress) Now, its on to the next one...I will keep an eye on them, and continue to call BUT I will NOT be worrying about VIVICA again!!! At least not until January that will be the six month mark ;) |

my DRESS is in HELL
Well WBC, Today I found out that Eva's Bridal in Oak Lawn, Il, BURNED DOWN today. To the ground...
My dress was just delivered there 5 days ago, and I was set to send in my last payment this Friday!!!! I lost my dress, yall!!!! I dont know how reimbursement is going to be given, or compensation for the dress... I dont know if I have to start searching alllllll over again (on a good note I do have time) BUT, my dress is gone...it feels like I just gained 15 pounds, and I didnt notice it, until I saw a picture of myself...and thats blindsided and helpless, oh and pissed :( |

Newbie Baker, Deal or NO DEAL
Okay, so I have been searching on Craigslist for vendors, right...
Sounds a bit unsettling but, i actually found my photographer on there and she was also highly recommended through the weddingwire.com...so i fely pretty good in hiring her. Especially, after my FH and I took our engagement pics (will post as soon as i ge em) OKAY... So I found this baker with a pretty good portfolio, but she needs some more extravagant cakes...I showed her additional pics. And she is willing to make any cake of my choosing for $200 BUCKS!!!! She set consultation and tasting with me for the 20th...She even stated that she can make my hummingbird cake for the tasting... NOW... Should I schedule anymore tastings before meeting with her, just in case the cake is fondant covered crap... as you can see, I need help on the ettiquette side... |

Mini Chandeliers!!!! (aka...Christmas Ornaments)
Hello All,
Now, that I am actually getting the hang of the WBC, I feel great and technilogically saavy to boot!!! SO, I have this vision of a pomander ball and a mini chandelier hanging from it. The chandelier will be dangling inside of the glass vase, right? Well, made my weekly trip to Hobby Lobby and LO AND BEHOLD... BAM!!! Chandelier Christmas tree ornaments for 3.50 a pop (they were on sale)... Pride is officially beaming from my face, WHUDDA FIND!!! |

BIG idea, even BIGGER task!!!
I am making chiffon flowers to accompany my silk flowers for my pomander ball centerpieces...SOOOO
I need like 120, and as of today I have finished 50 of em'...I bought 3 colors: cream, blush pink and nude...gold beads, iridescent pearls and slate gray beads for the centers My bridesmaid and I took pictures of our trial flowers, they need some more BLING and Glitz...to get the petal effect you have to singe the material with a flame from a household candle.... Hopefully, the actual product will hold a candle to this damned circus in my head... |
