Wedding Dress
2nd try-on
Going in the morning to try on my dress again and get measured for shortening the hem a bit. I bought 4 inch heels but it's still too long! We went in last week to initially try the dress and they knew to take it up an inch...here's hoping it's actually already done and I'm just trying it on to see the finished product, no more appts!!

Shower
So pretty!
Well ladies, I survived my bridal shower. It was soooo pretty and my FMIL and friends pulled off an amazing event. They rented a hall and had about 35 people show up. The tables were like a mini-wedding! White and lavender everywhere, amazing buffet luncheon and soooo many homemade goodies. The only disapointment was the cake, some how the bakery only put in two supports in the bottom layer so it tilted and cracked but it tasted good! haha

If the shower was this pretty, I can't wait to see how the wedding will look. I'm so grateful for all the help of our family and friends!

Gave the florist my printed list of photos and notes on color scheme and paid IN FULL. All done!! Can't wait to see the bouquets and the centerpieces. I hope their amazing.

Here are some of the pics I sent him. I asked for lavender and baby pinks with variety. Sorry if I've 'borrowed' your personal photo- it just means I really liked them!

Another really cool thing I saw others do is have cylinder vases engraved with the BM's name and when you get to the reception, it holds her flowers which makes the table look pretty AND gives her a keepsake to take home. Double duty- love it!

Met with the DJ
Our songs are officially chosen! We met with the DJ last night and it sooo helps to have someone who's friends of friends. He was great and has it all covered, I told him I really didn't know what songs we wanted at the ceremony, only that I wanted Pachebel's Canon and the FH and FMIL will walk in to Ave Maria. He said No problem, I've got the rest covered! Yay!!

I don't know what song to choose. It's a traditional Catholic church so it has to be classical or jazzy- no pop. Any ideas? Pachebel's Canon? Ave Maria? something modern?

Love my hair trial- she put it up for me at the end so FH won't know what style I'm getting ;) I forgot to bring my veil- so how should I put it in? below the poof, in the poof or tuked up under the poof upside down style? oops!

The half up half down style seems to be really in this year- probably because of Kate Middleton, but I like it and I hope it's flattering!

it fits!
My lovely dress came in on Tuesday and I got to try it on for the first time today!! The one I tried on originally was too big and light gold color so to see my dress in the right size and color was awesome- and it fit!! The ladies loved my shoes when I put them on to adjust the hemming, here's hoping I can last all day in them lol.
