for some reason i really feel like it's happening now, even though we have already gotten so many wedding things. this was the thing that solidified it for me.

i can't find a picture of his ring.
i got it from cresent jewelers for 70% off it's white gold, no bling, but it has a little design on it.


oh my goodness I can not wait untill my wedding day!

I don't know how people hire wedding planners this is so much fun!

This is kind of a weird question but it's just for fun,
a recent post prompted me to ask
if a bride posts a pic of lets say an ugly wedding dress (like the one on the right) or something that you think is tacky or not cute. do you say something?

or do you believe that beauty is relative, and to each her own.

The wedding is aug 23rd, and I want them to have time to respond and mail the rsvp's back to us.

What are you doing for your bachelorette party?
are there any rules between you and your FH?

my bridesmaids and I are going to Vegas.

My FH is also going to vegas with his groomsmen for a bachelor party on a different weekend.

The only rules (besides the obvious) are don't tell me what happned! lol.

I fell in love with this pic! so I asked the photographer if he could recreate this first pic with me and my daughter. (she's 4)

How did i end up with an orange wedding? I don't particularly like orange. lol.
But im liking the way its turning out and I look good next to golden tones so its all good I guess! :0)

he also seems really nice and funny.

I think im going to "hold out" (if you know what I mean) for about a month before the wedding.

we have been together for 6 years so I think it will make it more exciting when our wedding night comes if we have abstained for a while.

is anyone else "holding out'?

They come in little boxes with stickers on the outside that say "will you be my bridesmaid?"
I gave these out in March i think

I got them from serendipity favors. It took along time to recieve them, customer service was really nice but when they arrived the boxes were kinda pushed in and the sticker looked off center and really cheap ( well i guess they were only $10 each). it seemed as though they didn't really make or package them with care. I wouldn't go through them again. also the tissue paper inside each box was really wrinkled like it had been used before.

I Tivo every wedding show I can. I love Bridezillas, Rich Bride Poor Bride, and Who's Wedding is it Anyway. I think i'm going to overdose on wedding by the time august comes around. lol.

Also does anyone have a favorite episode of any of these three shows?

Here is a pic of my dress, it's poofy, you can't tell because the back is folded inward so it will fit into the bag its in (the pic is of it half in the bag)there is a medium sized train. it has little beaded lace patterns on the bottom, sides, and at the end of the train, which you can't see because i don't want to take it all the way out of the bag untill my fitting. lol
i don't want to because it's really poofy and i have no idea how i will get it back into the bag if i take it out on my own, and i don't want to get it dirty.
after my fitting (in about 2 months)
i will have better pictures of it.
im having it french bussled.
in the back ground you can see my minnie mouse bride ears, not sure where i will wear them yet. definitely not at the wedding.

oh yea, i can't find a pic of my dress online because i don't know who makes it, the tag says arlets bridal which is where i got it from but when i go to their website they sell many different designers. when i asked them they said it was a private collection whatever that means. I dont really care, i looooove this dress.

this is me and my children discussing things with the wedding planner. this is the room. the other picture is a picture of a picture of the room dressed for a wedding.
we will have deep burnt orange overlays and the centerpieces will be flowers in burnt orange and red with a few yellow flowers (small ones).
and tea light candels.
the cake table will have of corse the cake and will have tea light candles and lots and lots of rose petals in our colors.

we are having a sweat hearts table on a riser instead of a head table.
each guests table will be named after disney couples like mickey and minnie, donald and daisy, cinderella and prince charming, etc.
we are going with a dj instead of a band to cut down on cost.

They are supposed to come to the reception for 30 minutes, I think during the cake cutting. i guess the characters come dressed in formal attire. pose for pictures and everything, i know the kids will love it. they really weren't that expensive, I think like 250 each.

salad:
-spanich salad with asian pears, gorgonzola and tossed walnuts
-ceasar salad with traditional dressing and herbed crutons

entree:
-meyer lemon chicken
-new york strip with portobello mushrooms and shallots

side dishes:
-penne pasta with cremini mushrooms in a garlic cream
-smashed potateos with carmelized garlic
-grilled vegtables of the season

during the pre reception we will have :
-a fresh fruit array
-mini pizza with grilled vegetables, fontina, and basil infused olive oil
- fresh tortilla chips, guacamole with tomatillos, salsa fresca with celentro and scallions and spicy black bean dip.

we got the bridesmaids dresses from alfred angelo in burnt orange does anyone have any suggestions on where we can find matching vests and or ties?
the color is the dresses is also on my blog. i have only checked mens wear house and davids bridal so far and nothing. why can't bridal shops like alfred angelo also carry matching mens attire? what good is one half a bridal party in a cordinating color?

the veil i like is from alfred angelo and it's $189! I can understand if it's a lot of material but the veils I like are all elbow length.
Im thinking abotu making my own! my FH says no, but i can't bear spend $200 on a veil.. is this a common price? does anyone now where to get veils for cheaper?

(By the way i think this veil is hideous)

I think about it ALL THE TIME! and I talk to my fh about it at least once a day. I hope im not thinking about it so much that i will be "so over it " by the time it comes. how often do you think/talk about it?

It seatstwo, so after the ceremony me and my FH will leave in this to the reception.i am so excited!

She will be walking me down the isle. my father wasn't the one who cared for me in anyway. for me its a symbol of the person who has taken care of you giving you over to the person who will take care of you. and thats my mommie!

it seems only right. our wedding is in august (very hot) and we are getting married at the disneyland hotel

we are also going to have two toned yellow and orange flowers

yay! i can't wait!

I can't find Wing to match my wedding!
my daughters dress (flower girl) is ivory just like mine and i don't want her to wear white wings because i think the wings will make her ivory dress look dingy. or would it look ok? maybe orange wings would look better?. I was thinking of making her wings my self does anyone know how to do this??? or where to find the colors i am looking for?

I don't think i want her to wear wings after all, my FH says the wedding is too formal for wings, and I agree. any wings I would make my self would not look classy enough and i can't find really nice ones in any of my colors.

The flowers will be burnt orange, deep red and accents of yellow.
red ribbons hanging from it.
I am also buying her some fairy wings so that she looks like a little fairy princess.

my daughters dress will be princess style like mine, this is my little princess wearing the dress, it will have a burnt orange bow laced through. the burnt orange bow will match the color of my bridesmaids dresses.

But! I have a quaestion for anyone who is reading this!
i am going to ask my bothers (19, and 12) to be ushers and hand out the program fans. I have two borthers and one sister, I really don't want her fo feel left out! when my daughter tried on her flower girl dress my little sister ( age 9) looked sad, what can I do to make her apart of the wedding with out having to be a second flower girl? I don't want her to feel left out.
any suggestions??

Here is our cake, we are having real flowers ( in burnt orange, deep red and accents of yellow) and only 4 layers
I wanted it to be sort of whimsical because we are getting married in a rose garden, early in the day.

Does anyone have any ideas for updos for brideamaids ? I was thinking that they could either have their hair in an updo or a low pont tail to the side with curls falling down the front of their sholders. ODes anyone have any ideas perferably with pictures?

oh yea, none of them want their hair up, but i really want them to wear it up. is it wrong to insist that they wear it up or in a low side ponytail?
