I think im going to "hold out" (if you know what I mean) for about a month before the wedding.

we have been together for 6 years so I think it will make it more exciting when our wedding night comes if we have abstained for a while.

is anyone else "holding out'?

Its funny that you bring this up. Jeff and i were just talking about this 2 days ago and decided that we would abstaine for the next 2 1/2 months. we are doing well so far, and i think that it will bring us closer together

I really like this idea...but i'm not sure we could! haha.

NO not for me! I am already on the road to be bridezilla from hell so I need something that makes me happy and calms me down. And sex is deffo the best stressbuster in my opinion. Needless to say Jason is veeery happy about stressbusting.

My fiance has to ship-out on a training cruise for 2 month before our wedding so since I won't see him for 2 months there definitely will be no sex. Once he gets back though, I'm pretty sure the abstinence will be ending (2 months is looonggg enough!)

Probably not lol I could probably wait, but ,my fiance' could definitely not hahahaha

yes but only because we are currently living in two different states which, as you can imagine, makes sex a bit of an obstacle.

absolutely. it's not easy, but he's worth the wait.

I think its a great idea and it will make the honeymoon soooo much more exciting and romantic. But my FH and I have discussed this and we will abstain from Jan 09-until Our Special Day May 16, 2009....I kno its not going to be easy but We are going to make it:)

Wow, your situation is very similar to ours. We've been together for over six years and we were engaged August 17, 2007. We started the "abstaining" right after we were engaged and will continue until we are married August 9, 2008. It's been difficult at times, and I know it may seem silly, but I just think it will be more special when the big day comes. It's going to be like way back when that activity was new and exciting for us as a couple! Haha. And it's nice to see we're not the only ones doing this!

I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT TOO PERHAPS 3 WKS OR SO BEFORE THE WEDDING. THEN WE CAN START PLANNING FOR BABIES. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORNING SICKNESS..UGGGGH!

Holding out since Jan 08 only 67 more days!!!!!!!!!!

We held out for a week!!!! The night of the wedding, we were so exhausted and drunk, I passed out in the middle of, well, you know!! HAHA! But the next day was better!!

I've been holdin out for almost 20 years! I'm a "wait till you're married girl." so's my man. We're lovin it!

YAY! I will be 32 when we get married, and my daughter will be 5 then, so we are aiming for a honeymoon baby!

Going off the pill a few months before the wedding will allow it to leave my system, and abstaining will make that easier in the meantime!

Honestly I think that's a great idea...we haven't ever really thought about that. But....I have had some medical problems for the past month and it's still going to be a while...so by the time I'm actually better it'll be closer to the wedding so I dunno if we'll wait.....or not. But I'm glad I read this...we've held out this long...what's another lil bit hey!?

I have been waiting 27 years and my fiance waiting 25 years, we absolutely can't wait until this weekend, 4 more days :) wahoo!!

thats funny because we've been together for 10 yrs and we were just talking about this. We've been so busy and tired so... so far so good, we'll see how it goes LOL

Great idea; Although, easier said than done!

We were JUST having the same debate. My girlfriend just got married last week end and tehy held out for a month (they slipped once). I was suggesting to Kevin that maybe we should try this out for a month to see if we can do it, then do it again a month before the wedding. He looked at me like I was crazy then said "No." However, he has said that he likes the idea of holding out for a month. I still think that we ought to try it out before Next June 'cause I bet that we'll slip also!

Wow...I did when we got married in 1999. We held out for 2 weeks before the wedding. I wanted a month, but it didn't work to well. Now that we're having our 10th coming up in May...I mentioned it to my sweetie and he says it's a "NO GO!" Already with our monthly blessing (Red Wings), 5 days is already to long. Nope, not happening...

It's a nice idea.... but think about it...

it'll last him about 15 seconds if that because it'll be so long. I'll stick to the norm. ;)
