I was wondering what are some good ideas for gifts for readers and the girls that are doing the programs and guest book.

My ideas are gift cards or gift basket of Bath & Body Works, but wasn't sure what the dollar amount should be?

What color do you think the MOB & MOG should wear if my bridesmaids are wearing two shades of blue? The bridesmaids dresses are from Forever Yours in satin with the main color sapphire and the trim in cornflower.

My mom bought a light mint/gray dress. I'm not a big fan of it because the wedding colors are the two shades of blue and flowers will be yellow and white.

I thought about having the mothers wear navy, but the wedding is in April.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Valerie’s Story:
Vince had decided to have a Memorial Day cookout about a month ago. He had asked me to come over about two hours early, which I thought was weird because he always has his house clean and ready to go. So he called a little after four o’clock and checked to make sure that I was coming over at 4:30. I told him that I would be there around that time. I almost decided to paint my nails, but that would have made me late. I arrived at his house and he came out to the car and helped me carry in the food and games. So I start setting things out and putting things in the refrigerator and asked him what needed to be done. He said that he needed to do some dishes, which I found out later he purposely left dirty, and asked me to get the griddle off the grill. Normally, he does everything with the grill. It’s huge and I don’t even know how to turn it on. So I open up the big cover and look at the grates. I’m thinking “Is this what he wants?” He yells from the kitchen as he is watching me, “No, it’s the other one.” So I open the other cover where I see a ring and a rose that throws me into complete shock! There is a sign on the lid that says, “Will you marry me?” By this time, I’m just standing there speechless, trying to process what is happening. All this time that I’m staring at it, Vince is watching from the kitchen window. He comes out and looks at me. I look at him and look at the ring. When I look back, he’s on his knee and says “What’s it gonna be, will you marry me?” Still speechless, which doesn’t happen often, I said “Yes!” He put the ring on my finger and the rest is history.

Vince said, “You have to call your parents.” So I called and wondered why they weren’t answering. I had dialed Vince’s number by accident. Oops! Vince had asked my dad about a week, but told him not to tell my mom. Mom walks in the door and I raised my hand and she was as shocked and speechless as I was. It was too funny!!

The real reason for the party was for it to be a celebration party! I was so happy that our friends could be there to celebrate with us.

He knows me too well that I never would have guessed that this was going to happen as he so beautifully planned. He definitely surprised me! I’m so blessed to have such a great man!

This is a random. I was on Facebook and I'm friends with a guy that I went to grade school whom I haven't seen in years. He had posted wedding photos and his wife's dress is very similar to mine. It caught me off guard.

Just wondering if anyone else had experience that or not?
