Wedding Dress

I love Kijiji classifieds.. after 4 months of trying to sell my dress I finally did to a wonderful woman! She got engaged last week and is getting married this october.. like two months from now.. I cant imagine how much stress that would be!
So yay! Now I get to look for the dress of my dreams and I will not be swayed by sales and pressure!!! |

Honeymoon
Letting the Hubby pick the honeymoon
So Ive decided to let Chris pick the honeymoon spot. I saw someone on here say that they were letting their husband pick the honeymoon desination and I thought that Chris would love that.
So we talked about it and set a budget for the honeymoon and he says hes started researching places. I think its kinda cute that hes excited..lol. So is all a suprise until we get to the airport. Then I guess I'll find out! |

For my Ma
Since my mom is the one who raised me by her self, I thought I should do something nice for her during the reception. I dont really like the thought of dancing with my mom. So instead I think I am going to ask Chris's cousin to sing a song for her (his cousin was a contestant on Canadian Idol)... I really like the song by Jamie O'Neal called Somebodys Hero....

Bridal party party!!!
How I love my bridesmaids..
yesterday we decided to go Demitres(a amazing dessert place!) to talk about the wedding and everything. it was so amazing! I loved them stating their ideas and what they liked and thought could use work. Then we went to see the sisterhood of the traveling pants 2... also amazing. I would highly recommend having a bridal party party!! It is so useful and also all the girls could get to know each other better. yay for weddings! |

I just saw the coolest idea
I was just doing my regular day wedding browsing and I came across the idea to save your wedding dress and turn it into a keepsake of a quilt or save the dress and make it into a christening outfit for your future chilldren(I really like this last idea). I read some people make pillows, but I think i really like the outfit the the children!

My life's work..lol
When Chris and I had our one year anniversary I had him a scrapbook for him and I in the past and up to the one year mark(We have known each other since we were 6 and 7 and went to florida together with our families). I have updated every year since then. Its now updated up to our engagment. It has photos of all our family and friends at different events we went to. SO I think Id like to show the books(there are so many pages that I needed 2 more books, so now I have three). I was thinking since we are going to display other photos around the venue that I would put the books on a longer table before the guestbook so that people can look through them when waiting to sign our guest book. Or maybe one book before, one after, one randomly around the patio(where our cocktails will be)? I dunno. but I'd like to use them, Chris's mom always says how much she loves them when she sees them.

HELP! Arrrrr...Indesisiveness and wedding dresses!!!!
I think im going crazy. Im usually an indecisive person but everything in this wedding is making me indecisive. I buy something and then Im like "I dont like this" and then I change my mind again to "I like this"
So of course I am being indecisive about my wedding dress. I bought it in January, when I went around to like a zillion wedding dress stores and tried them on. I bought this one for 315 thinking that if I grew or lost(hoping to loose) weight then I have a friend who is a steamstress who can do the alterations(and the wedding is in 2010). But now Im looking around again and I feel like I dont like the dress I bought.... so Im asking you ladies... HONEST HONEST HONEST opinion.. Is this dress the "wow" factor on me that we are all hoping for??? Honest opinions please please. I posted an add on craigslist and kijji and have heard back from one bride who wants to buy it but I wanted to get you ladies opinions first before I sold/kept it. |

What Can I do with all this stuff?!?!?!?
So to get this post started.... I love kijiji. I will buy anything off kijiji, especially if its free(Im a sucker for free things).
These things were posted that some artist didnt want. There is 4 huge plastic boards 32x42 inches(slick on one side and a little bumpy on the other). Then there are 10 of the smaller plastic boards 20x15 inches. Then there are two boxes or random brown paper cardstock with gold coloured trim with holes in the centre(Id say there are over 300 of each style). I thought I could use some of the ones I like better for the invitations.. but what about allll the left overs and plastic boards?? I just thought that the brown would be good with the wedding colors..... |

How much is reasonable?
I went to a flower store today that was wholesale and the guy said that he can make a brides bouquet for 130 for 12 calli lillys and then smaller ones for the BMs for 45..... Is this resonable? I dont know too much about flower prices.
But I do know that he sells nice big square vases for my centre pieces for 3.99 :O I was in shock at how cheap they were! What does everyone think is a reasonable amount of money for calli lilys? I think I can talk him down, but im not sure how much is good??? |
