Introduction

about US!!!!

I love this story of how we met but I found it was too long so I edited the post to only include the key details ?

I live in Michigan but I am a transplant from Indiana (and before that from Ohio). I moved to Michigan on a whim for my job at the time. So without knowing a single person in the area I moved. I couldn’t afford my own place so I used a Web site called roommatesearch.com to find someone renting out a room. I found first roommate there but he ended up moving so I then found my second roommate Tim, who had another renter named Justin.

The first week I was there Justin kept inviting me to go hang out but I was in unpacking mode. Finally, one Thursday I caved and said I’d go with Justin to this restaurant/bar that does karaoke on Thursdays: The Village Inn.

I was there with this huge group of Justin’s friends, most whom are now good friends of mine as well. I remember almost every detail. Including my now fiancé sitting next to me and proceeding to flirt by messing with my iPhone’s touch screen as I tried to use it. It was soon closing time and everyone left…everyone except Mike and I. We found ourselves outside in the parking lot in the rain, neither of us really ready to leave and both of us definitely felling something about the other. I had on a hooded zip up Victoria?s Secret hoodie. I pulled the hood up over my head, holding it straight out above my head to avoid rain. I kept telling him it was raining so he should get under my hood with me … and then I kissed him. This…this was the kiss of my lifetime. It literally took my breath away.

Mike subsequently ruined the moment by hopping in his car, throwing his seat all the way back and trying to get me to get in. Yeahhh, no.(lol) We went our separate ways and here is where the words I can never live down were uttered. My two roommates are talking to each other when I got home and they just stopped and looked at me dripping wet from the rain and asked me where I was. Not wanting to tell them I just kissed their friend (a decision I will never regret) I stammered out

“I was outside talking to Mike (except I used his last name, that’s how he is referred to) and now I’m all wet.” *sigh* yes, that’s exactly what I said, lol.

A couple of weeks later we became official and here we are more than 3 years later, getting married!

So…about us NOW. We both like to play video games. We play WOW, Diablo, Skyrim, etc. together so I don’t get mad at him for playing because I’m right there with him! This is actually pretty key in our relationship because a lot of women don’t like games and get upset when their significant others become engrossed. Mostly we just like to hang out and enjoy each other’s company. He’s so sweet and thoughtful it’s crazy. Sometimes I feel I don’t do as much for him as he does for me but he says that I’m crazy for even thinking that <3

We try very hard to maintain good and open communication. This doesn't always work, usually due to misunderstandings and what not but then we talk it through. I hope this effort on both our parts continues and helps to build a succesful marriage for us :)
