Luau Engagement Party

Engagement Party went great!! We invited 70 people and about 50 showed up. My dad gave a wonderful toast to me and my FH. We were all crying from the toast! I purchased plastic champagne toast cups for really cheap and passed them around to everyone..then the bartenders came around and put champagne in the cups right before my dad gave the toast! It was such a good idea!! Really surprised everyone!

The decorations looked great! I got alot of orchid and hibiscus silk flowers from Hobby Lobby, took them off the stems, and scattered them all over the tables. The centerpieces were barrowed from a friend. I also bought cheap picture frames, hot glued flowers on the edges, put in pictures of FH and I, and put one frame on each table.

The tablecloths were bright green, with orange plates and pink and yellow napkins. I bought 12 paper lanterns from Big Lots and hung from the ceiling.

I also asked my bridesmaid to be apart of my day at the engagement party. I bought a 5x7" frame from Walmart and put a picture of me and her in it, as well as a note asking her to be my bridesmaid. It was a really special moment!!

FH and I also surprised our mothers with a photo album of our Engagement Pictures! They didn't even know we had them taken! Both mothers loved it!!! I just bought a cheap black photo album from the Dollar Store and hot glued a couple silk flowers on the front of the album. It looked really cute and tied in with the luau theme!
