Hairstylist/Make up Artist Who is hiring one?

Okay, the first time I hired a stylist was my first wedding in 1996. I walked in to a high end salon, Lake Tahoe. I brought several pictures, of hair styles, and makeup colors that I wanted. My Maiden of Honor went first and turned out wonderful. Then it was my turn. They put me in a reclining barber chair with curlers in my hair. Did my makeup and then my hair. I then got to look in the mirror and I FREAKED OUT - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I looked like I had a 80 year old woman's perm. I had pink blush and magenta colored lipstick. I cried in silence. My girlfriend looked at me, with the wedding only 1 hour away and mouthed to me - "WE WILL FIX YOU!"
As I hypervenilated up the elevator, I called my sister to bring makeupup to my hotel room.
We fixed my hair and my makeup.
Well it is now, 12 years later. I am planning my hair and makeup again on location.
I am freaking out, that it will turn out again. I am trying to prepare myself and everyone involved. I want to get it right this time.

I'm don't think I'll freak out because I play to do a trial run sometime before the wedding to have an idea of what everything will look like (I hate surprises) and the wedding day won't be a good day for me to gave any.

I plan to hire a make up artist I(new to me) But, I'll be using the same stylist that I've used for the past 5 years. She'll just be coming to the house instead of me going to the salon.

Oh yeah...trial run is a MUST! I'm getting one done about 3 months before the wedding with the SAME person that will be doing it on my wedding day. Then I will take photos and bring them back to her. Don't be afraid to say "HELL NO!"...they will fix it! They would rather have a happy bride sing their praises than someone complain behind their backs. It's awkward...but worth it!

Nope did three trial runs with my make-up artists and stylist.

Used them both for engagement photos and then for a wedding I went to in June and then again......

Had a great connection with them both.
