OMG! Where the hell are they?????

I am soooo done right now. Went dress shopping back in
October and ordered all the dresses. I called
yesterday to see what the status was on the dresses and
when they would be in. She tells me, your dress is due to
ship out on 2/19/09 (Which is my birthday!) and I am
thinking oh that's cool.
I ask then what about the other ones? My daughters, etc...
The lady on the phone replies, "What other ones?"
I said the dresses everyone tried on, picked out, had
their measurements taken!!!!!!!!!!!
She states, hold on!
She gets back on the phone and says we won't have
that order and it wasn't placed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I am freaking out. I am so pissed at this
bridal store - screw them. Now I have to gather
everyone together to have measurements done again
and the store is not willing to cover the "RUSH" charge on
the new order. I feel like finding a new store and
taking my chances there. What would you do ladies?

Oh MG, I will fight just to try them to cover the rush fee, but if not, I would take my business else where.

I have had a very bad experience with my bridal shop too.  What is up with that?

Oh yuck!!!  I would definitely fight them on the rush fee before dragging everyone down there and make it clear that you would be finding another store if they refuse.  As long as there is another store in the area that carries the right dresses... otherwise they'll probably know its an empty threat.  Good luck!

I agree with the other brides.  fight them!  They should cover the fees.  I would go above them if you had too, a store manager, district manager, someone.  Threaten to give them really bad publicity in the area bridal magazines (if there is one near you).  And if they still wont do anything to make things right, I say go somewhere else where they will appreciate your business.  Good luck!

I would tell them if they don't cover the rush fee that you are going elsewhere. It's their fault that the dresses weren't ordered. Don't give them the pleasure of giving in to them. I had a bridal shop forget to order my dress. They never mentioned a rush fee. I got my wedding dress in three and a half months. That's a record for a Maggie dress.

I would soooo fight them on the rush charge.
Another thing to consider is most places give you a discount on BM dresses when your dress is purchased in the store. So, it would suck to loose that discount by going to another store. ~That is if this store even offers a discount.
In any case, I would explain to them that if they don't correct their mistake by covering the rush charge, then you will just take the rest of your business else where.

yup they definitely need to pay the rush fee.  tell them you want the rush fee covered and 10% off the dresses for all the stress you've incurred.  that way they have room to negotiate and say "well, we can't give you 10% off but we'll cover the rush fee"  and then you get what you want.

Give them the option to do the right thing.  And pay for the RUSH order.

If they do not then I would take your business elsewhere.

What a bunch of assholes - they need to cover this charge - if you havent spoken with a manager do, if she still wont cover the charge then you go elsewhere.

Did they require downpayments??  Give them the receipt.  Did you pay through a credit card?  Do you have ANY documentation that proves that you did indeed place your order??

Maybe you could get FH to help you fight them.  I don't know about you, but he's much more rigid on things like this, and less likely to freak out.

Ugghhh.. I would be sooo mad, I would tell them they ARE paying the rush order or  I would be taking my business else where! Good luck, hope everything works out for you! :)

talk to a manager and tell them this is their opportunity to correct their error and show you they care about you and want your business... customers are your best advertisement... it would really suck to have to the the one who informed every bride in your area about what they pulled on you. ya know?
