Do Yo Know What Today Is...
IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY(1ST YEAR!)
I just wanted to share the joy with all of you! Today is our 1st wedding anniversary! I'm just sooooo happy. We have a nice day ahead of us, so I won't type much. One thing I want to mention is that we saved the top layer of our cake(it's a tradition). We are thawing it out now, and it seems to be in good shape. I was a little nervous about how it would come out. But we tasted some of the icing this morning and it was muy delicioso! It honestly tastes freshly baked. I'm not sure what the inside is like though...we will cut the cake tonight after dinner. But anyway...gotta go.

Watch Me On Bridezillas Tonight!
Yep...I'm serious :)
Just a reminder that the show will air tonight as two separate episodes. The first episode will air at 7 p.m. and it will be followed by episode two at 8 p.m. They will air on the We TV Network.
If you miss the episodes, don't fret because they will be repeated. All of the air dates for the next month or so are listed on their website. Also, please don't take the show to heart because it is simply comedic relief in my opinion. We all know editing can make anyone look crazy...lol. Some things can be taken out of context bc you guys don't know everything. Also, I will be Tweeting from WEtv's official Twitter account during the show and probably daily from now on. Feel free to add their twitter account! The twitter account will be open to fans during the show, and I will be answering their questions. If you want to join in on the chat... Get on Twitter and follow @WEtvBridezillas |

Do You Know What Today Is?
It's Our 6 Month Anniversary! Yayyyy!
Hey ladies, I haven't been here in forever...lol. Today is a very special day for hubby and I because it is our 6 month anniversary. That's right, six months ago we were standing at the alter, and I became his Mrs...haha. Time flies soooo fast! We had a great day today though! We spent our honeymoon was in Jamaica, so we decided to celebrate today with Jamaican style mon! We made our favorite honeymoon cocktail called "Jamaican Smile." If you have ever been to a Sandals resort, you know that the "Jamaican Smile" is their signature drink, and it is ADDICTINGGGGG. We spent most of our honeymoon drinking them on the beach and in the pool...lol. So, we made our own today, and they turned out perfect. They taste EXACTLY like the ones we had in Jamaica. Anywho, we are going to crank up some Bob Marley, and cook some Jamaican style jerk chicken tonight with veggies. We will probably watch some great movies and just enjoy being married.

Check Out Our Custom Thank You Postcards
My Last Wedding Task :(
Hey ladies! I haven't posted on here in forever. It has now been a little over 3 months since the wedding, and I am just now writing our thank you cards. I feel a little bad, but life sure gets hectic after getting married, and things like this just get pushed to the side. At any rate, I spent like 8 or 9 hours yesterday writing the notes, and it wasn't so bad. It was actually slightly therapeutic. We have about 20 more to go, and I will finish those either today or tomorrow.
So anyway, here are the details on our thank you cards. We also knew we wanted something custom to match our pocketfold wedding invitations that we sent out. I made our pocketfolds myself, but for some reason it was REALLLY hard for me to make our wedding thank you post cards. I tried and tried for weeks, but I just couldn't get the hang of how to use the software. I knew what I wanted them to look like, but I couldn't figure out how to make them in photoshop. So....I turned to a graphic designer for help. I sent her pics of my wedding invitations and told her what I wanted. She then made several options, and we selected the one that looked like our invite. We went with the over-sized postcards because we wanted to display more pictures, and have them big enough for people to see the details. I love how it turned out...lol. She was awesome, and we got everything done in just a few days. We then printed them out on Vistaprint.com FOR FREE. We just paid for shipping, but we also ordered other stuff from vistaprint at the same time, so it was no biggie. If anyone is looking for someone to design thank you postcards, I recommend Brenda Ernzen at Forever Clever. Check out her website: http://forevercleveronline.com/ I've posted pictures of the thank you cards and our invitations so you can see how well they match! She used our monogram/bellyband design, and incorporated it into the front of the thank you card. I just love it! Anywho, I will keep you ladies posted on how long it takes us to finish them and get them sent out. |

Our Winter Wonderland Wedding Pics Are Back...
& they look PERFECT! SNEAK PEAK INSIDE!
Hey everyone, I am am so excited about our wedding pics! Wen I saw them they seemed like something that should be in a magazine. It just seems unreal! There are like 900 pics, and I will post a few later this week. I am just so happy that everything turned out the way I wanted. The wedding details are below...check it out :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our wedding was on December 19, 2009 in Memphis,TN. We had two ceremonies and a reception, so it was a longgggg day...lol. The first ceremony was held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. The 2nd ceremony was held at the historic Cadre Building in downtown Memphis at 4:30 p.m. The reception was held at the Cadre Building at 5 p.m. WEDDING DETAILS: Our colors were pink, Tiffany blue, and platinum. We had a winter wonderland theme, so we incorporated lots of "icy" twigs decorated with crystals and beautiful flowers. At the church ceremony, we had winter wonderland decor everywhere! There was this huge Christmas tree with white lights and pretty ornaments. We had tons of wreaths, garland and ivory bows throughout the place. We decorated every other pew with TALL "icy" branches for a dramatic winter wonderland effect. Each pew decoration also had pine cones, a silver Christmas ornament, and a white flower to bring in the winter wonderland theme with the branches. And of course there were flowers at the altar as well. RECEPTION: We carried our winter wonderland theme into the reception as well. We had centerpieces that were made out of "icy" twigs and beautiful flowers. They were also draped with crystals as well. We had at least 3-4 different styles for our centerpieces so each table looked a bit different from the one next to it. All of the centerpieces were pretty tall, and they were around 3ft high off of the tables. The pictures make them look smaller than what they were, but they were pretty large. At the reception, we had crystal beads hanging over the dance floor to bring in the "icy" feel as well. Our reception linen was ivory with a shimmery linen overlay consisting of sparkling "bling." The chairs were decorated with bows that matched the table linen. We brought in our colors with pink and blue lighting at the reception to add that special dramatic touch! We also had a blue signature drink at the bar, and a Christmas tree decorated in pink and blue ornaments to bring in the colors(this is where people put our gifts). There were several touches throughout the night, and they can be seen in the pics. BRIDE'S ATTIRE: I had two dresses for my big day. They were both unique in general, and completely different from each other. The ceremony dress was a cathedral length(long train)dress that was very over the top/princess like. It was adorned with tons of beading, lace, and rosettes. I also wore a custom made cathedral length veil with a Spanish style. I think it is called a mantilla. My second dress was a bit edgier and retro glam. It was a cathedral length dress as well, with a very full skirt. The skirt was made out of these huge flowers. I felt like a big bouquet....but in a good way of course. It reminds me of the dress from the Sex and the City movie. The one Carrie tried on for the fashion shoot when she was sitting on the couch. Whereas, my wedding dress reminds me more so of the dress that Carrie actually wore to her wedding. The skirt of my 2nd dress had Spanish flair as well because of the flowers. And to add even more fun to my attire, I dyed my petticoat blue under my 2nd dress in order to have a funky "something blue," and I loved it! I am all for little splashes of color in unexpected places! I had it custom dyed to match the wedding color..."Tiffany Blue." I wore a retro" birdcage" veil that had a feather on it to bring in the old Hollywood/retro glam vibe. ACCESSORIES: I wore designer heels by Cole Haan, and they had built in Nike-Air technology. Basically they looked like stilettos, but felt like sneakers. As far as my jewelery was concerned, wanted to wear pieces that incorporated both pearls and crystals. I wore huge chandelier diamond earrings. I wore a layered fresh water pearl necklace that was given to me as a gift from my mother in-law. And last but not least...I wore the heavily sought after B628 bracelet designed by Haute Bride. It has a big crystal brooch and pearl strands. OUR CAKE: The cake had 5 layers. Two of the layers were covered in silver " bling " dots. Three of the other layers had white ribbon wrapped around them tied in a bow with a rhinestone brooch in the center. It was the perfect combination of food and fashion. Who doesn't love cake with jewelry on it? Elegant..yet simple...but somehow secretly over the top. I believe it was three different flavors, and it was also VERYYYY yummy! We had a cute little interracial cake topper as well! The cake table was decorated with custom "We" "Do" letters. They were covered in pink, Tiffany blue, and clear swarovski crystals. I did them myself :) TRANSPORTATION: We rented a white vintage Rolls Royce, and it was very romantic and "Old Hollywood." The driver was really nice, and we felt like we were on top of the world...haha. Everything was simply amazing, and we are just so happy to spend the rest of our lives together! |
