Wedding Flowers
Pastel Palette
I am drawn to bright and whimisical Alice inspired weddings but I really do feel like the more subtle colors are more "us", I love blue and white hydrangea, babies breath and soft pink roses, the second picture if from sarahinwonderland's wedding, I loved her centerpieces. Also choosing key blooms will help keep our floral budget in check.

Seating Card Start
These are the start to my place cards/seating cards, I bought luggage tags with pre punched holes, stamped them and will be getting a calligrapher to write the names of guests below the stamp, since there is only one table we don't really need escort cards. They will then be shortened, and a string will be tied through the hole and they will be attatched to an organza bag of mints in pastel colors thats inside a tea cup so they look like a tea bag hanging over the edge.
I was so excited to take pictures I smudged two of my mad hatters :( have to really careful with ink and letting try it can get everywhere, patience is key! On a NWR matter who else loved Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland? |

Inspiration Board
I was beyond thrilled to find this lovely Wonderland shoot on Wedding Chicks as seen here
It is spot on with my vision and color palette, golds, blues and white. Also I have the same dress featured in the shoot and have been considering wearing it for our reception, this is the perfect source of inspiration with our wedding not too far away. I love the babies breath and blue hydrangea, the white and silver tea sets... yep head over heels. Matthew also recieved a call from our caterer today, we we're going to use their dining room and have them cater our cocktail hour after the ceremony but wanted to look into a tent to keep with the outdoor garden feel and they informed us, to stay on the same site would actually be cheaper and they will provide the tent, table and chair set up still. Hooray! Also this way guests can stay playing croquet. I am so excited at how well and quickly everything is coming together as I mentioned earlier today, Mom thought I was crazy for planning a wedding in under four months, but it is doable :) Just gotta be ready to hear no every once in a while and perservere until you find a yes! |

Bridesmaids
MOH Dress
Well we were looking for a gold lace dress and found it at the same place I bought my dress, its also Alfred Angelo we met at lunch today and they didn't have it in gold but it looks great on her and the search is over. Also noticed they carry the Alfred Angelo Bolero's I was going to wear a cardigan but when I saw this little baby blue number I couldn't resist, I'm going to wear it with my dress since I'm not really a strapless kind of girl. Love how things are falling into place

Wedding Cake
Pretty & Delcious
We're doing cupcakes with a single tier cake for us to have a topper on, we found a great topper on etsy that is very whimsical and charming albeit a little strange, but I love that we can display it in our home afterwards. Our cake/cupcakes is going to be classic vanilla with blue buttercream icing and decorative edible pearls

Photo Op
love this alternative, we'll have an oversized ornate frame in front of the gardens at cocktail hour for guests to pose behind :)
this is a repost because I accidently deleted the original but for scotchminx who asked how we are setting this up: we are using a tripod and the camera has a self timer |
