Where are you going for your honeymoon?
I didnt expect that I would receive so many opinions on where we should go for our honeymoon. Originally we wanted to go to Jamaica, many of my co-workers are trying to change my mind. They say it is not all it's cracked up to be. Anyway, this led me to wonder...where are my fellow WBC brides going for their honeymoons?

Ask a Question
How to honor my mother?
My mother has always been my role model, my best friend, my rock and my supporter. She has been there through thick and thin...growing up it was me and her against the world. I'm trying to think of a nice way to honor her at the wedding. I am going to have a mother-daughter dance instead of father-daughter dance but what other ways can I honor her?
Are any of you honoring your mother? And how will you be doing so? |

Ask a Question
Has this happened to anyone else?
Ok, so when I started planning the wedding I didnt really work with a budget. I figured whatever we wanted, we would find the money to pay for it (not the best approach). So I was planning this elegant, classy, over the top, expensive wedding (darn Platinum Weddings show).
Well, needless to say....reality is setting in. There is no way we can have a wedding like that...lol. We have an 8 month old and daycare is like a mortgage payment, not to mention the price of everything going up. We went to look at some venues this weekend that are not as pricey as the original ones I wanted. And I actually liked one of them (the carpet was kinda old school, but I think I can get over it...lol). All of this made me wonder...is this normal? Have any of you gotten a "reality check" while planning? |

Money, Money, Money
What will you spend it on?
So we've been thinking....do we want to spend the majority of our money on the wedding as far as location, attire, hair/makeup, etc. or do we want to focus spending our money on the experience (entertainers, activities, interactive stations)?
Right now, my fiance and I are leaning toward the experience. We both love our family and friends and want them to share and enjoy our wedding experience. On the other hand, I know there are couples that want it to be all about the couple. So my question is, will it be all about you and your fiance (sounds so romantic), or all about the guests, or both? |

Wedding Dress
I'm happy I listened...
Thank you to all the brides that told me to wait when it comes to buying a dress or anything definite for the wedding. I thought I found the "perfect" dress a few weeks ago. I tried it on a few times and was "in love". I even contemplated ordering it. Then, I remembered the advice of some of you ladies who told me you bought your "first love" dress and regretted it later.
Needless to say, now I'm leaning towards a whole different style of wedding dress. How funny...I probably should not buy a dress until the week of the wedding, who knows how many times I may change my mind...lol!!! |

Bridesmaids
How many is too many?
Ok, I have a situation where I would like 8 bridesmaids. My fiance and I have talked about our bridal party and we would like 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen (including maid of honor and best man). We love our friends and family and the people we would like to include have all played a special part in our relationship and our lives. I couldnt imagine celebrating our marriage without all of them. However, I'm nervous that there will be too many. What do you all think? Is 8 too many? Also we would like two flower girls and one ring bearer...the number keeps growing and growing...lol

Boudoir Sessions
How was it? Anybody know a photographer in Houston?
I've been reading about the boudoir sessions. I would love to do this for my fiance, I think he would love it and never expect it! Does anyone know of a photographer in Houston?
Also, I want to hear from the ladies that have done it. How was it? |
