I GOT THE JOB!

YAY YAY YAY!!! This was a job I was really really hoping for!!! Im so excited.. not only that but its a day spa! So I know where Im taking the girls for Bridal Beauty! haha.

So I am stealing an amazing idea for a Bridal gift from FutureMrsHeikle.. Im going to make the tank tops red or black with the Bridesmaid ribbon and then add some crystal decoration on the bottom side. Then for their other gift along with my fh's mom and my mom were going to have a spa day.. massage, facials, mani/pedis, all of it!!! Im so excited!!!

So, after lots of contemplating and wanting to do it FOREVER! My better half and I have decided to start a clothing line! I know it sounds kind of crazy but we have tons of friends and family that have been pushing us to do it because they love our stuff. We both have a background in Graphic Design, I make alot of my own clothes already... were going to be doing a lot of screen printing with a local business but eventually when we get some money in, we'd like to buy our own equipment and do it all from our garage. We can order tons of different styles of shirts, sweatshirts, underwears, sweats, bags, hats... pretty much anything our hearts desire!
So weve mocked up a few tshirt/sweatshirt designs... once we get some made we will have frriends modeling the shirts! Im pretty excited... I posted a few of our designs. Let me know what you think! |

My Ross finds...
I love Ross Dress for Less!! haha... We were out and about this weekend and found 2 of these lanterns at our local Ross for 5.99, So over the weekend we traveled down to Eugene (about an hour away) for the Bridal Showcase and hit up both Ross' down there but only found two more... Ideally I would like 2 more so I have a total of six... I want to hang them on shepherds hooks along the walkway into our reception location. Im thinking about putting red rose petals on the bottom then a candle in them. I guess I need to call around and find 2 more!! haha

Cupcake holder???
So, I found another killer garage sale find!!! Its a Williams/Sonoma and its adjustable so I can make the tray sit on the bottom or have the dowel to make it taller, and then there is an extra dowel and tray if I want to make it even bigger.. its perfect for our cupcakes.. or maybe to put favors on.. or flowers?? im not sure exactly what Ill use it for but I couldnt pass it up... We will most likely paint it black too.. But the lady sold it to me for 5 bucks!! It made my whole day!!! haha
Dont mind my messy table;) haha what would you ladies use it for??? Maybe you can give me some killer ideas!! |

Reception Idea
As you walk into our reception hall there is a longer narrow hallway that at the has a glass brick wall and then you can go around the wall at either end. While trying to figure out what to do at that entrance I think I like the look of having a couple long black tables in black tableclothes and having it set up like the main picture... we are using the same 3 cylinder vase set up on our tables at the reception so it will all match!

An idea for you ladies!
So I came across these pictures while searching for pomander pictures and thought it was super cute... and definately a cheaper option.. so for you brides that dont want to use pomanders or flowers... or love the look of japanese lanterns... this is great!!! You can do any colors.. and hang them from shepherd hooks or the chairs. You could even light them up! Hope this idea works for some of you!!!

1 year and 2 weeks:) Did you get the ring you wanted? Yes, its exactly what I wanted... he is amazing! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes, i was in complete shock! I knew it would happen but I didnt think it would be for a good year or so. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? My ring is absolutely perfect!! Did you cry when he proposed? I definately got teared up but i was mostly in shock, i was shaking:) Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like. It was both romantic and creative. He planted the ring in a giant easter egg covered with grass and my favorite candy.. he kneeled in front of me while i opened it:) When do you want to go for your honeymoon? We loved Lake Tahoe and have talked about going back there.. or a road trip... we havent decided yet Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes, he has a ring he wears now that hes trying to get me to just regive him.. but i bought it for 10 bucks.. haha... Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Were trying to decide right now but were leaning toward the country club What kind of dress will you have/color/material? Its an ivory color, silk, essence of australian dress, off the shoulder removable straps, tight fitting till mid thigh where it gathers at the side. What kind of flowers in your bouquet? red roses and orchids Kind of engagement ring? 4 littler diamonds to look like one big one, floating above a band of small round diamonds Kind of wedding bands? its a set that goes with my engagement ring, its a band of round diamonds How will you wear your hair? Its going to be down then one side pinned back with an orchid or jeweled broach style clip Who will be important to be there? Everyone is special and important to us, we will be honored by everyones presence Will the reception be big or small? medium i guess.. about 150 What will the groom wear?
