Vintage 50's Wedding Dress

This is my dress, I bought it on ebay, and am basically using it as the inspiration for the rest of the wedding.

It's tea-length, and I plan on buying a black or white crinoline for underneath, as it didn't come with the one that was used in this photo.

It's amazing!!!! I bought a vintage dress that I'm going to try to fit into as my reception dress (I haven't posted pics yet just in case I can't ever fit it) but it's not in as good of condition as yours! OH I wish I could find one that's as perfect as this one!

This is an amazing dress.  I bought a 1950's ivory pencil dress for my reception,but it fits WAY too big, and I thought I bought it a size too small!  I am going to get it alterd closer to the wedding day so I have that "fits like a glove" thing going :)


If you need anything else I was on the site called uniquevintage.com, they had quite a bit of other things if you need anything else for your theme.

love3lily:  her seller name is 5ft2isoblu  I have tons of links and resources for finding vintage dresses, I was scouring the internet for weeks looking for a dress like this!

vicenta:  I don't actually fit in this dress right now either, but I am having the back changed to a corset so that I can loosen an inch or two.

unpredictablebride:  That's too bad he won't get behind a dress like this!  I'm just so glad that I can wear something unique for my wedding, as I'm not a very conventional girl.  

scotchminx:  I didn't think I would be able to find a vintage dress that would fit me (I'm a size 10), but there are a surprising number of dresses that actually fit my measurements!  Plus, I'm going to alter it to have a corset back.

rmmharrison:  ooooh, pencil dresses are gorgeous, I wish I could wear one, but I have big hips!  That's why this dress is so perfect for me  :D  hehe
